The Zilant Battleship is a battleship used by the Gorn Hegemony. In terms of hull strength and armament the Zilant is comparable to the Orion Syndicate's Marauder Battleship and the Cardassian Union's Keldon class. Zilant Battleships are common in Gorn-related Klingon Front missions and Deep Space Encounters.

Physcial appearance

The remotely wedge-shaped vessel has one nacelle mounted on a pylon on starboard and port, however the port nacelle is located closer to the bow. A flat bridge module can be found on top of the ship and the bussard collectors glow yellow like the impulse exhausts and the back of the nacelles. Two round impulse engines are located at the Zilant's rear. The vaguely green-colored battleship follows typical Gorn design guidelines in shape and in terms of size is intermediate between the smaller Tuatara Cruiser and the superior Balaur Dreadnought.

• “Defend the Pi Canis Sector Block”: Zilant Battleships, both regular and as Enemy Flagship, can be engaged in the Pi Canis Sector Block DSEs.
• “Halting the Gorn Advance”: Zilant Battleships - led by the I.K.S. Skaut, I.K.S. Strazss, I.K.S. Vrah, and I.K.S. Zadak - are deploying minefields in the Tostig System.

Trivia

• Like all other Gorn starship classes, the Zilant designation is a reference to reptiles from Earth's fauna and/or mythology. The Zilant is a legendary, dragon-/wyvern-like creature from Central Asian mythology.
