Sirius Sector Block[]

Vulcan Sector[]

Andoria System[]

A moon with an oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere orbiting a ringed gas giant, Andoria is one of the founding worlds of the Federation and home to almost one billion inhabitants.

Most Andorian settlements are underground and connected by thousands of kilometers of tunnels. However, a portion of the Northern Wastes has been set aside as a public area for visitors to the planet to enjoy its frozen beauty.

P'Jem System[]

A small M-class planet, P'Jem was originally settled by Vulcan monks more than 3,000 years ago. Although the original monastery was destroyed during the Vulcan-Andorian conflicts in the 22nd century, the buildings were rebuilt by a coalition of Humans, Andorians and Vulcans after the founding of the United Federation of Planets.

Sol System[]

A System with eight planets orbiting a G-class star, Sol is the heart of the Federation. Starfleet Command is located on Earth, the system's third planet, as is the seat of Federation government. The system is also home to Earth Spacedock and the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards on Mars.

[[Vulcan System

The second planet in the 40 Eridani star system, Vulcan orbits the primary K-class star, as do two smaller stars. It is a harsh desert world, with many active volcanoes and towering mountain ranges. Its atmosphere is thin and the gravity on Vulcan is higher than that of Earth. The Vulcans have adapted to this harsh world, developing great strength and endurance.

Wolf 359 System[]

A red dwarf star, Wolf 359 was the site of the first large-scale engagement between Starfleet and the Borg in 2367. Of the 40 vessels that engaged one Borg cube, 39 were destroyed. There is now a memorial for the approximately 11,000 people who died in the conflict.

Orion Sector[]

Lackey System[]

A star system on the edge of the Paulson Nebula, this system is considered a hazard to starship navigation. The high levels of magnesium and chromium hinder sensor operation, and enemy ships have been known to hide in the nebula to prey upon unwary transports.

Starbase 24[]

One of the closest starbases to the neutral zone between Federation and Klingon Empire space, Starbase 24 is essential to Starfleet's war plans. A research team on the station is developing new weapons, and the station's staff is busy around the clock treating wounded and repairing battle-damaged ships.

The station was where survivors of the Khitomer Massacre were taken in 2346, and it still holds a historical archive of records and artifacts related to the event.

Risa Sector[]

Bomari System[]

Astronomers have theorized that the thick asteroid belt surrounding this planet may be the remains of another planet. THe cores of the larger asteroids have significant amounts of nickel, iron and magnesium. Starships in the area are warned that maneuvering near these asteroids may be difficult.

Gamma Orionis Transwarp Conduit[]

This transwarp gateway extends to the Gamma Orionis Sector Block. Because Gamma Orionis is at the heart of the Fedeartion's conflict with the Borg, Starfleet Command has restricted access. Only ships working with Battle Group Omega are permitted to use this corridor.

Imaga System[]

Imaga was once a troubled world plagued by tribal warfare. The conflicts came to a head in the late 22nd century, when an attack on a colony located on Imaga II cracked the planet to its core and killed more than 250,000 residents.

Shaken by the tragedy, the Imagans settled their differences and built a pacifist society. Imaga was occupied by Son'a forces in the late 2360s, but they were forced to retreat from the planet a decade later.

Risa System[]

Originally a rain-soaked world covered by jungles and plagued by seismic instability, Risa was transformed by technology into a pleasure planet that is considered to be one of the jewels of the Federation. Risians are renowned throughout the quadrant for their hospitality and liberal attitudes.

Regulus Sector Block[]

Argelius Sector[]

Argelius System[]

The Argelius system has long been a haven for tourists and pleasure seekers. The nightspots and clubs of Argelius II have been a popular shore leave destination since the 23rd century, and the orbiting Treasure Trading Station offers entertainments for those with more exotic tastes.

Tostig System[]

A Federation colony world with more than 26,000 inhabitants. Last year, a survey team discovered ruins believed to be from the time of the T'kon Empire on Tostig II. A new Federation research station is being constructed for a long-term study of the site.

Celes Sector[]

Celes System[]

A binary star system with seven planets, the Celes system is the home of Starbase 114. Commander Cleveland has been tasked with fighting the influence of the Orion Syndicate in the Celes Sector. The strain of the investigation, as well as their normal duties of supplying ships on their way to the Neutral Zone, are taking their toll on the crew.

Regulus System[]

A Federation system with more than 7 billion inhabitants spread across three M-class worlds. A Vulcan protectorate system for more than three centuries, the Regulans petitioned for independence in the early 23rd century. The Federation embassy on Regulus IV is one of the largest in the sector.

Kassae Sector[]

Briar Patch[]

Warning! Starfleet has deemed this area of space to be a Level 6 hazard to starship navigation. Hazards include high levels of metaphasic radiation, pockets of metreon gas, supernova fragments and false vacuum fluctuations. Ship speed is restricted to one-third impulse to avoid damage to impulse manifolds.

Kassae System[]

A system of seven planets orbiting a G-class star. Starships entering the system should adjust communications systems to compensate for high levels of metreon isotopes.

The Federation Science Council has an archaeological research team stationed on Kassae II to study an extensive series of underground ruins linked to a reptilian race that may have been a precursor to the Gorn and Saurian species, among others.

Pi Canis Sector Block[]

Xarantine Sector[]

Kern System[]

A ringed, Class-S ultragiant, Kern III has a diameter of 47,000 km. Its average surface temperature is 220 degrees Kelvin, with a surface comprised of hydrogen compounds. Water vapor has been detected near the poles.

Laurentian System[]

Hundreds of people have settled at the Laurentian Colony for the pleasant weather and abundant employment opportunities. The quadratanium that the system produces is essential for replicators and holotechnology. The increase in photonic lifeforms and holocrew for starships has made a steady flow of quadratanium even more important.

Xarantine System[]

There are more than 20 micronebulas in the Xarantine system, at least three of which contain protomatter. Because of this, the system has frequently been contested, and was occupied by Jem'Hadar forces during the Dominion War.

The Xarantine government, while officially remaining neutral, has recently agreed to give Starfleet full and open access to its space.

Hromi Sector[]

Gateway System[]

An ancient world littered with the remains of a vast city more than 2,000 km in diameter. The ruins appear to be more than one million years old, although there is evidence that suggests that the civilization on the world was much older.

Access to the Gateway system is restricted under Starfleet General Order 21.

JFS47[]

JFS47 is an area of deep space first chartered by the Human astronomer J. Walker Montgomery in 2256. Later Starfleet surveys confirmed Montgomery's assertion that there is a stellar nursery in the region.

Kalferi System[]

A system with twin planets orbiting a Class-B dwarf star. Kalferi II, the smaller of the twins, is a Class N world with a thick layer of methane ice on the surface. Kalferi I is a large gas giant. Astronomers predict that the surface temperature of Kalferi II will continue to increase until it collapses sometime in the next 10,000 years.

Korvat System[]

Korvat Colony was the site of negotiations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire in 2289. Although the talks to end the cold war between the two powers were unsuccessful, they laid the groundwork for more serious negotiations years later after the destruction of the Klingon moon Praxis.

Maiewksi System[]

What began as a small colony on Maiewski Prime in the late 23rd century has expanded to more than 3.4 million residents in six cities. The world is known for its innovations in replicator technology, and some of the finest industrial replicators in the Federation are created here.

A team from Maiewski Replication is now working on a portable replicator that could someday be used by Starfleet away teams or in disaster zones without access to reliable power.

Mempa Sector[]

Ceron System[]

A M-class world orbited by a M-class planetoid, the surface of Ceron is made up of a series of large islands surrounded by stormy seas. High levels of algae give the oceans a brown appearance, but the residents of the colony have learned to use the algae both as a foodstuff and fertilizer for their crops.

Eriksson System[]

A series of surveillance arrays in this system are directed at the nearby Qu'Vat Sector to track the movements of Klingon Empire vessels. Increased traffic around Rura Penthe is a concern to Starfleet Intelligence.

Eta Eridani Sector Block[]

Aldebaren Sector[]

Aldebaran System[]

Aldebaran is an orange giant star that is home to one habitable world. The Aldebaran colony boasts a wide range of dangerous life forms, including serpents, leeches, and shellmouths. The colony also produces Aldebaran whiskey, famous for other dangers.

Azha System[]

Azha (Eta Eridani) is an orange star that hosts several research stations and facilities. The establishment of multiple habitation areas means that this ssystem sees a great deal of traffic, including neutral parties and the occasional hostile raider.

Ba'aja System[]

Despite its location within Federation space, Ba'aja has been the site of many conflicts between the Federation and the Klingon Empire. Ba'aja itself is an arid world, and the constant skirmishing means that its settlements are crude structures designed for defense rather than aesthetics.

Deep Space K-7[]

The Federation base deep space K-7 orbits Sherman's Planet, a developed world that was the site of agricultural pioneering by the Federation during the 23rd century. Deep space K-7 continues to be a hub of strange events and occasional Tribble sightings.

Traelus System[]

The Traelus system, located near the Federation-Klingon neutral zone, has changed hands in the course of conflicts between those two powers. Traelus II has served as the site of neutral zone talks between various parties, including the Tholians on one occasion. Now the world is another hotly-contested area.

Donatu Sector[]

Alhena System[]

Alhena (Gamma Geminiroum) is a trinary blue star system on the edge of Klingon space. It is also the site of Federation military development. Due to its proximity to Boreth, it is considered an important strategic site by the Klingon Empire.

Bepi 113 System[]

[REDACTED]

Cursa System[]

Cursa (Beta Eridani) lies just within Klingon Empire space. The white giant star holds a Klingon colony world that was attacked by Cardassians in the early 24th century. Since then, the Klingons have worked to fortify the planet and turn it into a highly-militarized outpost.

Donatu System[]

Donatu is located on the edge of the Beta Quadrant, at the border between Klingon and Federation space. The system boasts five worlds, of which Donatu V is class M. Donatu has thus been the site of many clashes between the two galactic powers, stretching as far back as the 23rd century.

Drozana System[]

Drozana Station is an old Federation deep space station located in the midst of the Federation-Klingon neutral zone. Over a century of warfare has taken its toll on the station, which has changed hands many times. It is currently a dilapidated trading hub managed by Ferengi.

Starbase 157 System[]

Starbase 157 is a Federation strategic listening post along the neutral zone. The base orbits a barren class D world with an associated asteroid belt at a moderate distance from a white star.

Zibal System[]

Located in a strategically important traverse point in the neutral zone, the Zibal system plays host too a great many space skirmishes between the Klingon Empire and the Federation's Starfleet.

Archanis Sector[]

Ajilon System[]

Although Ajilon lies in Klingon Imperial space, it is home to Ajilon Prime, a Federation colony world. Due to its location, Ajilon is subject to constant fighting between Federation defenders and Klingon attackers.

Archanis System[]

Archanis is an orange star in Klingon space and home to the colony planet Archanis IV. This world was attacked by Cardassians in the early 24th century. As a result, the Klingon Empire stepped up fleet defenses in the area, so the system is now the site of many battles against the Federation.

Ganalda System[]

Ganalda boasts an advanced orbital base that serves as a rally point for Klingon fleet forces near the neutral zone. Ganalda IV hosts a Klingon colony world and subjugated indigenous populace.

Otha System[]

The Otha system became the endpoint of a Borg thrust into the Beta quadrant. The class M world Otha itself then became a race point between various groups of researchers hoping to study remnants of Borg technology. The world is now in danger of being overrun by reactivated Borg.

Omega Leonis Sector Block[]

Qo'noS Sector[]

Gamma Orionis Transwarp Conduit[]

This transwarp gateway extends to the Gamma Orionis Sector Block. Because Gamma Orionis is at the heart of the KDF's conflict with the Borg, the High Council has restricted access. Only ships working with Battle Group Omega are permitted to use this corridor.

Ghuh'woq System[]

The Ghuh'woq system serves as a jumping-off point to the Pi Canis sector block. In spite of its marginal planets, it is the site of constant honor battles as the various Houses vie for use of the system as a staging ground to raid into neighboring space.

Hedon System[]

At the long end of a narrow spacelane, the Hedon System houses a sensor array designed to watch for fleet movements. It is also home to a massive field of stellar debris that can be harvested for basic industrial supplies. As such, it has become a common place for House ships to gather raw materials for munitions, as well as a site for ambushing such explorers.

Nawlogh System[]

Nawlogh provides the access route to Qo'noS. As a gateway system, it is heavily defended and patrolled at all times. The planets of the Nawlogh system do not lie within the star's habitation zone, but Imperial defenses include a set of pressure domes and an orbital ship repair facility.

No'mat System[]

The No'mat system serves as a regroup point for fleets withdrawing from the Saqghom system without returning to Qo'noS. Naturally, this has turned it into a graveyard of abandoned ships, and also the site of many chases and fleet confrontations.

Qay'ghun System[]

The verdant class M planet Qay'ghun hosts a wide array of flora, which makes it valuable as a colony and for its exports of exotic foodstuffs. During the Borg incursions into the Alpha quadrant, this world was attacked by Borg as they attempted to reach Qo'noS. Now it is a battleground between Imperial warriors and Borg drones.

Qo'noS System[]

Qo'noS is home to the tlhlngan (Klingon) people and the capital of the Klingon Empire. Though Qo'noS is a class M world, its highly tilted axis contributes to extreme seasonal changes As a result, its native life forms are aggressive and adapted to deal with rugged terrain and harsh environments.

Saqghom System[]

The Saqghom system boasts a pair of habitable worlds (one arid, one frigid) as well as a resource-rich asteroid belt and a Jovian world with a one habitable moon and many heavy metals in its other satellites. This profligacy of natural resources means that Saqghom has been the site of House battles for colonization and exploitation for over a century.

Tiqchirgh System[]

Tiqchirgh is a dry, near-desert world that is home to a wide range of ruins from a vanished civilization. The world is notable primarily for the great variety of archaeological treasures left by its former inhabitants.

Qu'Vat Sector[]

Ghoma System[]

The Ghomha system includes several colonies that are ostensibly neutral in the House battles that often rage through the Empire. As a result, fleets of House-loyal ships often engage in running battles here, knowing that they can retreat to friendly territory once the battles end, or celebrate their victories in a neutral settlement. The system gained great notoriety in Federation standard year 2407 when fleets from the House of Duras and the House of Martok clashed in a major engagement.

Kahless Expanse[]

The Kahless Expanse stretches through massive nebulas and into deep space at the edge of the Empire. Here, subspace distortions and energy eddies make it difficult to conduct long-range scans. As a result, Klingon warriors must rigorously patrol the area, especially since Federation ships often use the nebula to hide their approach.

N'Vak System[]

The jungle world of N'Vak once hosted a prosperous Klingon colony, but it was annihilated after an infection by a mutagenic virus. It now serves as a popular site of hunting expeditions and rite of passage ceremonies. Borg invaders cannibalized one of the planet's small moons to build a repair facility, thereby turning this system into a heated battle zone for the Klingon Empire.

Qutmut System[]

Located very close to the heart of the Empire, the Qutmut system is a dangerous area of space avoided by lone ships.

Rura Penthe System[]

Rura Penthe, known throughout the galaxy as the "aliens' graveyard," is a class P frigid world with no habitable surface areas. It is also rich in dilithium and various heavy industrial metals. As a result, it serves as a penal colony where prisoners work until they die in the dilithium mines.

Teroka System[]

Teroka is a dusty world with significant tectonic activity. The combination of silicate mantle and a series of heating and cooling cycles in its late formation left the world with deep chasms and caverns stretching for miels beneath the surface. The world also boasts valuable deposits of ferro-magnetic material and heavy materials.

B'Moth Sector[]

Azure Nebula[]

The Azure Nebula takes its name from the prevalence of deep blue protostars and pockets of gas. As this nebula is situated between Klingon and Romulan space, it serves as a constant site of patrol battles between ships of these two Empires.

Boreth System[]

When Kahless the Unforgettable left his Empire, he pointed to a star and announced that he would one day return at that point of light. The Boreth system is that star, and in tribute to the Promise of Kahless, a monastey there holds a revered order of Klingon monks who keep the memory of the Promise alive.

ChoS Nebula[]

The ChoS nebula boasts dense clouds of ice and pre-stellar matter. Though few stars form in this nebula, its tendency to form irregular pockets of gas and dense matter makes sensor readings unreliable in this area. For this reason, True Way elements from Cardassian space use this nebula as an excellent place to hide or from which to conduct hit-and-run raids against Imperial supply lines.

Forcas System[]

The Forcas system orbits a hot white star, but the third planet is far enough out to be habitable. Forcas III is renowned as the site of an annual bat'leth tournament, which is an opportunity for great glory and honor. The class M planet itself boasts no moons, but instead an asteroid debris field.

Norgh System[]

Several small chunks of irregularly-shaped barren rock populate the Norgh system. This system occasionally hosts strange energy fluctuations, and sometimes lone ships passing through the system will report seeing a vessel of unknown configuration on scanners for just a moment before the other ship is gone.

Sanek System[]

Sanek is a hot, volcanically-active ringed world orbiting a dying orange-red star. The Sanek system is filled with reflective dust leftover from failed planet formation. Nevertheless, Sanek is a marginally habitable world.

T'Kanis Nebula[]

The T'Kanis nebula contains massive quantities of dust, gas, and energy discharges, which make it extremely difficult to map and navigate. THis combination likely contributed to its priority as a target area for the Borg. Borg vessels now roam the nebula largely at will and use the area to conceal their attempts to assimilate the Empire.

Yov'bot System[]

Yov'bot is a class M world, distant from its red sun, that boasts advanced military production facilities. A series of icy metalloid comets in a stable orbit around the planet provide sensor cover for small objects such as frigates and mines.

Alpha Centauri Sector Block[]

Teneebia Sector[]

Memory Alpha System[]

A Class-K planetoid, Memory Alpha has been adapted for humanoid colonization through the use of a series of pressurized dome habitats. The planetoid is home to Federation's largest cultural history and scientific archive, and is available to any scholar or scientist who wishes access.

Dozens of researchers call the planetoid home, and some of the most advanced technological and theoretical work in the Alpha Quadrant gets its start at Memory Alpha.

Teneebia System[]

The Teneebian system is famed for the large crystals known as Teneebian amethysts that can be found in the caves on Teneebia Alpha. The two inhabited bodies in this system are actually moons, but the planet they once orbited was destroyed eons agaon. Its remains now make up the dense asteroid field in the system.

Sierra Sector[]

Agrama System[]

The worlds of the Agrama system have been havens for the Orion Syndicate for more than a century. Pirate bases are hidden throughout the asteroid belts surrounding the three planets in the system, and vessels entering the system should be alert to possible attacks.

Chiron System[]

Starfleet established an outpost on this ringed, L-class world after the destruction of Romulus in 2387. The base was a hub for relief ships and refugees in the chaotic early months after the destruction of the Romulans' homeworld. Now it has been expanded to offer assistance to former colony worlds wishing to be independent of the Romulan Star Empire.

Rhi System[]

One of the planets opened to refugees from Romulus, Rhi III is a temperate, M-Class world that many residents compare to the lands around the Apnex Sea on their lost homeworld.

In 2394, the colonists of Rhi III voted against rejoining the Romulan Star Empire and submitting to Praetor Taris' rule. Since then, they have struggled to remain independent.

Sienae System[]

A ringed, Class-G world in orbit of a yellow dwarf star, Sienae I has a diameter of 15,245 km. Surface temperatures average 145 degrees Kelvin, and the atmosphere is primarily comprised of hydrogen and argon.

Sierra Outpost II System[]

One of a series of listening posts and defense stations along the edge of the Romulan Neutral Zone. The outposts were designed as an early warning system in the case of a Romulan attack on the Federation. With the destruction of Romulus, many of these outposts have been expanded to include space for researchers or cargo space for relief supplies.

Sierra System[]

This system is home to Starbase 39-Sierra, the closest Federation outpost to the edge of the Romulan Neutral Zone and the headquarters for Starfleet's Romulan Task Force. The starbase was the base for rescue and relief efforts after the destruction of Romulus, and Admiral T'nae keeps a close eye on the many starships traveling through this sector.

The planet that the starbase orbits was heavily mined in the 22nd century by the Romulans. It is believed that the miners hit hidden pockets of deuterium, causing an explosion that split the world in two.

Vendor Sector[]

Aelas System[]

The Aelas system is home to the Aelaseans, an advanced, warlike race that rejected almost all technology in an effort to end the battles that were threatening to permanently divide their people. The Aelaseans now use a tribal structure, and have divided themselves into groups of mostly hunter-gatherers and those that mine topaline, which is one of the planet's major resources.

Although the system would seem to be ripe for conquest by the Romulan military, they keep a respectful distance from the Aelasean homeworld. It is unknown if there is a treaty in palce, or if the Romulans are wary of technology that the Aelaseans may have saved from their days as a power in the region.

Pilatus System[]

The Pilatus system is comprised of three planets in extremely close orbit around a Class-B dwarf star. The relatively short distances between the worlds gives rise to a great deal of seismic instability, and events on one world can influence seismic activity on another.

A small colony was founded on Pilatus Prime in 2382, but it was evacuated less than six months later after a massive landquake on Pilatus II caused a similar series of disturbances on Pilatus Prime. The Starfleet Corps of Engineers has offered to assist the Romulan military in retrofitting the world with seismic stabilizers, but its offer was refused.

Psi Velorum Sector Block[]

Hyralan Sector[]

Rator System[]

Twin worlds similar to Romulus and Remus, Rator III and IV have become the heart of the new Romulan Star Empire.

Empress Sela maintains a palace on the surface of Rator III, and the Romulan Senate meets in the city of Nova Roma. Much of the rest of the planet is taken up by forests and wild mountainous regions, although Starfleet has intelligence that suggests that there are at least three major Romulan military bases on the planet as well.

Onias Sector[]

Cirini Prime System[]

The population of Cirini Prime swelled to more than 4.7 million after the destruction of the Romulan homeworld. The Cirini Council is now one of the most influential groups in the new Romulan Star Empire, and the empress is scheduled to visit the world in the spring.

Because of the increase in Cirini Prime's importance, the Romulan military has increased its presence on the planet.

Mylasa Sector[]

Mylasa System[]

In several respects the Mylasa system is very similar to the Sol system. The fourth planet in the system is a temperate M-class world orbited by a single moon, with several landmasses separated by large ocenas.

Unlike Earth, however, Mylasa IV is surrounded by an asteroid belt with a high percentage of verteron particles. Because the only other known source of self-sustaining verteron particles is the Bajoran wormhole, Federation scientists theorize that this system may have been the location of a wormhole that has since destabilized.

Iota Pavonis Sector Block[]

Bolarus Sector[]

NGC 1218[]

Shortly after the destruction of the Romulan homeworld in 2387, a fleet of Federation vessels speeding to the Romulus system to offer aid were intercepted by the former miner Nero and his vessel Narada near NGC 1218. Sixteen Starfleet vessels were destroyed in the resulting battle.

Starfleet has attempted multiple salvage operations over the years, but most efforts have been blocked by Romulan and Reman forces. While the remains of approximately 2,400 Starfleet officers have been recovered, the debris from their ships remains as a testament to their willingness to risk their lives to help others.

Rashana System[]

One of several colony worlds that left the Romulan Star Empire after the destruction of the homeworld in 2387. Rashana Colony is independent, but retains trade and cultural ties with Nova Roma.

Surprisingly, Empress Sela has never sent troops to Rashana like she has in other instances of breakaway colonies. Starfleet Intelligence reports indicate that there is still a Tal Shiar presence on the planet, and that might be staying the Empress's hand. While the Tal Shiar work for the Empire, not all of them are loyal to Sela herself.

Devron Sector[]

Hobus System[]

The site of the supernova explosion that destroyed Romulus and Remus in 2387. Current theories suggest that the explosion ruptured subspace, and that the energy from the blast traveled through subspace at speeds much greater than the speed of light.

Because this is the only known incident of this happening, it has been of great interest to Federation scientists. Kathryn Janeway led the first expedition to study the Hobus Cinsder in 2388.

Tarod Sector[]

Dimorus System[]

The Dimorus system is comprised of two worlds in orbit of a Class-F star. Legends say that during the Sundering, a sword created by the great Vulcan weaponsmith S'harien was lost on Dimorus II during a battle between two noble houses. The winners of that battle went on to be the first rulers of Romulus.

The Romulan military has named the orbital space station here "S'harien" to honor the swordsmith.

Great Bloom System[]

The Bassen Rift is a dense nebula field that disrupts subspace communications. Romulans call this area of space the "Great Bloom," in honor of the many greenish clouds, and the name has been picked up by Starfleet pilots.

In 2379, the rift was the site of a battle between the U.S.S. Enterprise-E and the Reman ship Scimitar, commanded by Shinzon, a clone of Jean-Luc Picard who had seized contorl of the Romulan Star Empire.

Romulus System[]

The former home system of the Romulan Star Empire. Romulus and Remus were twin worlds, but the vast majority of the population was located on the larger and more temperate Romulus. Both planets were destroyed by the Hobus Supernova in 2387.

A memorial now stands at the location of Romulus, to honor the approximately 4.2 billion people killed in the cataclysm.

Z-6 Sector[]

Iconia System[]

The homeworld of the Iconian civilization, Iconia was almost destroyed by a massive orbital bombardment approximately 200,000 years ago. The population of the planet was believed to have been killed, although some survivors may have escaped through their multidimensional gateways.

Ancient texts describe the Iconians as "Demons of Air and Darkness" and report that they can appear at will anywhere in the galaxy without the use of starships.

Beta Ursae Sector Block[]

Kalandra Sector[]

SPR-5195 System[]

An area of space notable for the number of micronebulas and subspace anomalies. The anomalies make traveling at high speeds difficult. Starfleet recommends that ships in the area use impulse engines only, and travel above Warp 2 is restricted without permission from Starfleet Command.

Bajor Sector[]

Bajor System[]

The home system of the Bajoran people. The system has eight planets, and there are four moons around Bajor, which is the homeworld.
The Bajorans are a deeply spiritual people, and faith in the Prophets drives much of who they are. They are also fighters, and when their world was occupied by the Cardassian Union they launched a fierce opposition movement that ultimately drove the Cardassians forces to retreat.

Bajor is one of the newest members of the United Federation of Planets.

Deep Space 9[]

A space station originally built by the Cardassian occupation forces in orbit of Bajor, DS9 was surrendered to Federation administration in 2369. It became one of the most important strategic posts in Starfleet after the discovery of the Bajoran wormhole, and the station was moved to the mouth of the wormhole itself.

DS9 was key to the defense of the Alpha Quadrant during the Dominion War, and its commander, Benjamin Sisko, laid the groundwork that led to Bajor joining the Federation.

Cardassia Sector[]

Badlands[]

A region of space known for intense plasma storms and gravitational anomalies. The plasma storms make starship navigation in the area extremely difficult, and most captains avoid the area.

In the 2370s, the Maquis used the Badlands as a staging area and hiding place during their campaign against the Cardassian Union. Now the True Way is reviving those tactics in their fight against the Federation.

Cardassia System[]

The home system of the Cardassians, the Cardassian system has eight planets and two asteroid belts orbiting a red dwarf star. Cardassia Prime is the homeworld, but five planets in the system are inhabited.

Cardassia Prime was devastated by orbital bombardments at the end of the Dominion War, and since then has been rebuilding with the help of the Federation and other friendly worlds.

A breakaway faction known as the True Way wants the Federation to withdraw from Cardassian space and is calling for the repeal of democratic reforms put in place since the end of the war.

Alpha Trianguli Sector Block[]

Dorvan Sector[]

Minos Korva System[]

Minos Korva is one of the Federation worlds that the Cardassian Union attempted to conquer in the Federation-Cardassian War of the 24th century. Many of the planet's 2 million residents evacuated during the Dominion War, but the population rebounded after the Treaty of Bajor was signed. Now more than 1.6 million people live on the world. The Federation Science Council maintains a research station on the planet.

Almatha Sector[]

Trivas System[]

The Cardassian Union surrendered control of the Trivas system in 2372 as part of its agreements with the Federation after the Cardassian withdraw from Bajor. Among the assets that the Cardassians abandoned in the area was the orbital space station Empok Nor, a sister station to DS9.

Algira Sector[]

Algira System[]

The colony at Algira Prime is isolated by a thick asteroid belt. The high levels of kelbonite and fistrium in the belt blocks subspace communications, and most ships tend to avoid the area. The Bajoran Ministry of Commerce offers a premium to transport ships that will brave the risks to keep the Algira colonists supplied and connected to the rest of the quadrant.

Zeta Andromedae Sector Block[]

Orias Sector[]

Orias System[]

The Orias system has six planets. Of those worlds, one is M-Class. Orias III is uninhabited, and for decades was used by the Obsidian Order for training exercises and as a detention site. In 2371, the order used the system as the location of a fleet intended to enter the Gamma Quadrant and attack the Founders' homeworld. The attack failed, and the Obsidian Order ships were destroyed by a Jem'Hadar counterattack.

Kora Sector[]

TRD 071944 System[]

Access to TRD 071944 is restricted by order of Starfleet Command. Starfleet vessels are ordered to avoid the region unless there is a clear and present danger to civilians by other Starfleet vessels. Vessels must notify Starfleet Command of their intentions before entering the region.

Arawath Sector[]

Arawath System[]

The Arawath system was first colonized by the Cardassian Union in the late 22nd century. Surface temperatures on Arawath are more than ten degrees lower than on Cardassia Prime, and the long rainy seasons are considered unappealing to most Cardassians.

In the 2350s, Arawath became popular among retired Cardassian officials looking to get away from the intrigues on the homeworld.

Vanden Sector[]

Orellius Sector Block[]

Deferi Sector[]

Defera System[]

The homeworld of the peaceful Deferi, Defera is a ringed, M-Class world with a population of approximately 3.8 billion. Deferi value the Balance of being close to nature, and many will work in cities but have homes in nearby forests or mountain ranges.

In the past 30 years, the Deferi have become concerned that their growing population is out of Balance with the resources available on the world. They are increasing colonization of other systems in the region to rectify their population problems.

Deferi Outpost 3[]

Deferi Outpost 3 is an orbital station built by the Deferi to service and supply colony ships on their way to the worlds in the Kelvani Belt. The largest of the Deferi space stations, Outpost 3 has a population of 450 people, with an additional 20 miners living on ships permanently assigned to collecting the ore from outlying asteroids.

VZA-4001[]

VZA-4001 is an unihabited star system. The three planets of the system were destroyed approximately 5,200 years ago, when one of the two stars in the system collapsed, creating a black hole. The gravitational pull from the black hole was at an angle form the planets, and the gravitational shear tore the planets apart. The area is on the major trade route for the Defera Sector.

Raveh Sector[]

Kelvani Belt[]

The Kelvani Belt is the main source of income for off-world Deferi, and the metals and ores harvested there are being sold throughout the quadrant by Deferi and Ferengi brokers.

Surveys deeper into the belt have found several habitable worlds, and the Deferi are sending colony ships to these planets to start off-world colonies that are in balance with their surroundings.

Lae'nas System[]

An unclaimed system with three planets in orbit of a Class-F star. Lae'nas III is a M-Class world known for the volcanic mountains on the southern continent. The climate of the southern continent is very similar to prehistoric Defera, and the Deferi Science Council has been studying the climate and flora here for decades.

Raveh System[]

The Raveh system is a binary system with a blue dwarf star in orbit of a much larger Class B star. Light from two stars should make Raveh II much warmer than it actually is, but a thick layer of theta radiation in the upper atmosphere reflects much of the energy from the stars, keeping average surface temperatures on the planet low. More than 70 percent of the landmass of Raveh II is covered with snow and ice for the majority of the solar year.

S'hinga System[]

S'hinga Prime is a L-class world with a diameter of 13,447 kilometers. It has an atmosphere of oxygen and argon compounds, with a high percentage of carbon dioxide. Primitive flora and single-cell organisms have been found on scans of the surface.

Both S'hinga Prime and its moon orbit a Class B dwarf star.

Zaria System[]

Alpha Zaria 30 is a hot G-class star that is very similar to the star at the center of the Sol system. However, it was not always so. The star was a cooler Class-K star in the early 22nd century.

Deferi scientists believe that the neutral metals in the core of the star came in contact with a source of protomatter, igniting the star and increasing its core temperature significantly. The resulting explosion destroyed the two worlds in close orbit with the star.

Gamma Orionis Sector Block[]

Sibiran System[]

Starbase 82 is in orbit around Sibiran Prime, a Class-F world with an unusual amount of geothermal activity. Commander Pan has been leading research into tapping the geothermal potential of the planet, but that work has been delayed by the invasion of the Borg in the Gamma Orionis Sector Block. Starbase 82 is now the secondary command site for Battle Group Omega and the Borg Task Force.

Cestus Sector[]

Battle Group Omega / Transwarp Conduit[]

Low-level delta radiation from the rogue moon in this region of space helps block the energy signatures from the ships of Battle Group Omega. The battle group is the staging area for the defense of the Gamma Orionis sector. Both the Federation and the Klingon Empire hope to halt the Borg advance here, before they can threaten the core worlds of the Alpha Quadrant.

Hotep System[]

Hotep IV was settled in the late 2370s by a group of former Federation citizens who were forced out of their homes when their planet was ceded to the Cardassian Union. The settlers rejected Federation offers of resettlement, opting instead to move far away from major populated systems and what they saw as undue interference in their affairs.

Bellatrix Sector[]

Vorn System[]

An uninhabited system with two planets in close orbit around a Class-F white star with a core made up of hydrogen and ionized metals with trace amounts of calcium and iron. Sensors have picked up Borg activity in this system, although the lack of inhabitants or technology to assimilate makes their presence there puzzling.

Galdonterre Sector[]

Alini System[]

The Alini system is an uninhabited region of space surrounding Delta Alini 6, a Class-A star with a core temperature of 7500 degrees Kelvin. The star has a hydrogen core, with trace amounts of ionized silver. Starfleet is considering launching a series of surveillance arrays in this region to detect the movements of Borg vessels.

Burgus System[]

The Burgus asteroid belt is approximately 47.9 million kilometers from Burgus Iota 20, a Class-F dwarf star. The asteroids of the belt are comprised of rocky shells around cores of iron, deuterium, carbon and fistrium alloys.

Kessik System[]

Kessik IV is the home of a Federation colony with approximately 22,000 residents. The small community was the childhood home of B'Elanna Torres, chief engineer of the U.S.S. Voyager during its years in the Delta Quadrant.

NGC-4447 System[]

A region of deep space first surveyed by the U.S.S. Archer in 2404. The Archer's surveys indicated that there were high enough amounts of delta radiation in some regions of the area to adversely affect starship sensors. Caution is advised when traveling through this region.

Mutara Sector[]

NGC-2447 System[]

Preliminary studies of NGC-2447 have indicated that the micronebulas in the area could be forming one large nebula. Scientists speculate that this could be the first step in forming a stellar nursery, although ultraviolet levels in the region are not high enough to confirm that phenomenon.

Quadra Sigma System[]

The Quadra Sigma system has four planets in orbit around a Class-G star. Both Quadra Sigma Alpha and Beta are M-Class, but colonists chose to settle on the much smaller Quadra Sigma Beta. By tapping the geothermic energy of the much larger Alpha, they were able to supply all of the energy needed for the colony. Contact with the Beta colonists has been sporadic since the entry of the Borg into the Gamma Orionis Sector Block.

Pelia Sector[]

Fluidic Space Fleet Action[]

A stable portal to Fluidic Space, this one is maintained by the Hylasa to allow access to one of the major feeding grounds of the Gekli.

Gekli who leave fluidic space to explore other regions of space will often return to their spawning sites as they age, and the Hylasa seek to make this process as easy as possible for the Great Ones.

Kuda System[]

The unusual ring that surrounds the twin gas giants in the Kuda system is a sight not to be missed by space travelers in the Pelia Sector. Scientists theorize that the ring developed when an anomaly with an extremely strong gravitational pull altered the orbit of Kuda II. Whether the anomaly was a black hole or a cosmic string is still a matter of debate.

Zemet System[]

An area of deep space known for large amounts of spatial and temporal anomalies. At least two quantum filaments have been recorded in the area, as well as a graviton ellipse.

Starfleet is considering a long-term study of the area, and at least one science vessel may be assigned to fully investigate the area.
