Miliam was born into a family that has Starfleet service dating back to the 22nd Century. She developed the desire to be a Starfleet officer at a very young age, and was often found studying quantum and temporal mechanics. She joined Starfleet just after turning nineteen years old and sought out degrees in Exoarchaeology and Probability Mechanics. Over the course of the next three years, she routinely impressed instructors and her fellow cadets alike. Miliam graduated from Starfleet Academy after three years and five months of intense studies, graduating with honors in both of her majors.
