An Unknown Alloy is a type of Data Sample used for the Crafting system within the game.

It belongs to the Tier 2 (aqua) or Mk IV type Data samples, and yields from scanning a Technologcial Anomaly.

Crafted Items Using This Sample

The Tier 2 Technological Data Samples can be used at the R&D Facilities at Memory Alpha and First City to craft the following Mk III and Mk IV Items.
