When activated, the Triolic Pattern Enhanceer creates a mini-console on a stand with 5 pattern enhancers that encircle the console. Anyone within the pattern area becomes slightly out-of-phase with current space-time, and anyone that leaves the pattern area returns to normal phase. Like fabricated shield generators, the pattern enhancer can be targeted and destroyed by enemies.

In game terms, anyone within the pattern area receives +13 damage resistance to all damage types while within the pattern area. Unless destroyed by enemies, the pattern enhancer has a duration of 3 minutes. The device has a cooldown of 10 minutes. The device can also enhance the effects of the [Ophidian Cane] when used within the pattern area.

Due to the temporal nature of the Triolic Pattern Enhancer, there is a random chance that a being from the past may be pulled into your current space-time when using it. Entities reported include Tribbles, 23rd century Klingon Dahar Masters, 23rd century Starfleet Security Officers, and Devidian Phantasms.
