AoD missions[]
It would be great if someone with more know-how than me could add the DSC faction icon to this template, to be applied to the DSC tutorial missions. Arbiter82 (talk) 23:12, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
- Done. It actually isn't as complex as I thought it was - this template uses Faction .png icons, so you can use either DSC Starfleet as code or just DSC (I've redirected the icon page to this as it's shorter). --PiralDorrm (talk) 07:14, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

Faction icons[]
Some mission lists have the faction icons before them, which are useful but they're a pain to write out all the time. Can someone insert this code at the start. It adds a third variable where we can type the faction icon name (i.e. FedRomKDF) and it will add the icon for it (but only if the field is specified).

When it is in place, it might be good to have more intuitive or simpler naming of those icons to make it easier to use quickly.Scientifictheory (talk) 20:45, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

Allies[]
Regarding the new "and allies" icons. I had a thought regarding this the other day that it may be simpler, given how we have 3 illegibly small icons on them now, that it may be simpler to have a plus symbol instead. So A Fed icon with a plus in the corner would stand for Federation and Federation aligned without the need to show independently the TOS, ROM and DOM symbols. A single plus sign would be a lot clearer to see at a glance, given the size of these icons. The cross-faction icon could also be just the Fed and KDF icons with a plus in the corner.Scientifictheory (talk) 08:54, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
- For mission icons, sure. However, I think this look fine on ship pages: https://sto.gamepedia.com/Lethean_Oniros_Pilot_Escort. EDIT: The problem is that non-regular visitors need to be able to recognize this icons. Starfleet sign with a plus may not mean much to them. --PiralDorrm (talk) 09:22, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
