This template can be used as a standardized infobox on any planet page. Please only use canon information (as seen in Star Trek Online.) The template uses the following variables.
Variables
- name
- Name of the planet
- imageOrbit
- Filename of an image, without "Image:" namespace prefix. Should be an image showing the planet from orbit, and can be omitted if such doesn't exist.
- orbitCap
- Optional caption for the Orbital image for mouseovers
- imageSurface
- Filename of an image, without "Image:" namespace prefix. Should be an image showing some detail on the surface, and can be omitted if such doesn't exist. At least one of the two images should be used.
- surfaceCap
- Optional caption for the surface image for mouseovers
- class
- Planetary class, if known. Leave blank otherwise, this field is optional.
- type
- Type of body, i.e. planet or planetoid; this field is optional
- status
- Status of the planet. Use 'alive', ' dead', or 'destroyed'.
- satellites
- Name of natural satellites (moons.) Leave blank if unknown.
- native
- Names of primary native sentient species. Leave blank if none, or unknown.
- system
- Name of planetary system (complete with "System" suffix)
- sector
- Name of sector (complete with "Sector" suffix)
- block
- Name of sector block (complete with "Sector Block" suffix)
- quadrant
- Name of quadrant (complete with "Quadrant" suffix)
- faction
- Organization this planet is affiliated with.
