This template displays a galaxy map-like display, showing a link for all locations where a given duty officer assignment is available. It also sets Property:Has possible location for that page. It relies heavily on {{Assignmentlocationlabel}}, CSS in MediaWiki:Vector.css, and on File:Assignment locations map.jpg, all of which perform the actual heavy lifting for the template; the contents of this template are more data than functionality.

Positioning notes: When adding a new location to the map, you use the following parameters to {{Assignmentlocationlabel}} to determine its position.

Horizontal: use only one of the following:
- left: Where the left side of the label should be, measured in number of pixels from the left edge of the map.
- right: Where the right side of the label should be, measured in number of pixels from the right edge of the map.
Vertical: use only one of the following:
- top: Where the top edge of the label should be, measured in number of pixels from the top edge of the map.
  - Note: due to invisible padding at the top of the label, subtract 3 from the position of a place marker to get the best positioning.
- bottom: Where the bottom edge of the label should be, measured in number of pixels from the bottom edge of the map.

It is recommended that you copy the usage provided below and leave every line intact as a convenience to the next editor. While the template will function if you delete lines with a no, it's easier for future editors to add a yes value if the line they need is already there. Similarly, if you add a new location, please add the appropriate line to Boilerplate:Assignment article to give it the best chance of being added to new assignment articles.
