Solanae
There are several indicators that the solanogen-based lifeforms are actually the Solanae themselves. Both their technology as well as the Solanae's are related to the Elachi's. The similarity of the words solanogen and Solanae may been chosen by the Devs on purpose. Also, they operate from Subspace and Storage Facility Z98, which is located in subspace, shares the design ethics of the Dyson sphere.
