Merge[]

There's not enough of Singularity or Antimatter cores to justify having separate articles for them. Rayfire User-FED-Sig 14:35, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

There may not be much, granted, but they are completly seperate items. Would you compare a Klingon faction spesific item to a FEderation faction specific item? I disagree to the idea fo merging them. They are two very different item, and deserve seperate articles. Becides, it the coming weeks, and months after LOR, the article will have more and more information, prefixes, stats, pictures ETC. Agree with merging the article. The wiki has too much content bloat as it is. I don't see what this page would add that couldn't be included in a joint A/M + Sing article. --Walshicus (talk) 06:46, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
I agree, a single page for both kinds of cores makes the most sense. They may be separate items, but there's quite a lot of overlap mechanically. --Eklinaar (talk) 06:56, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Disagree with the merger. Singularity cores have a whole game mechanic behind them that warp cores don't have and they are mutually exclusive. It's basically the same thing as proposing to merge all similar weapon articles into a big one because aside from the procs the weapons are the same. - Atrayonis (talk) 07:21, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
I don't see the conflict seeing as how there is a page that has all of the universal consoles in one place. Especially for the general descriptions. And the singularity powers belong just as much in the Warbird page as it does the warp core article as the restriction on acquiring Singularity powers isn't what warp core you have, but what tier the warbird is. I Disagree with the merge. As noted by - Atrayonis, there are a lot of unique mechanics that do not apply to Anti-matter Warp Cores. I also believe that each game 'item' should have its own article and icon. This includes Universal Consoles. While a summary page is fine (though arguably unnecessary) each Console should have its own page just like any other game item. This is even more important now that there are a myriad of Universal Consoles out there with more being released with each new ship. Both Anti-matter Cores and Singularity Cores have a range of modifiers which do not apply to the other type, and each can be further enhanced by influences (Skills/Traits) which do not apply to Warbirds or other ships. There are Eight different types of Core (4 Warp, 4 Singularity) of which this page is just the Standard variant. If we bundle Singularity cores with Warp Cores, then we will have a very long page, at least half of which will not be relevant to the reader's current ship, which is the exact same problem we have with the Universal Console page. --Tahno (talk) 07:23, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
As I mentioned earlier, this page is actually the page for the standard Singularity Core item, but it currently contains a general overview. Taken in that context, and having read the related pages, I now agree that the current content should be merged into the more general Warp Core article. It's been four months since there has been any activity here, and since I came to this page to update information relating to the standard issue Singularity Core item, which every Romulan Ship article links to, I'm going to go ahead and incorporate the general information into the Warp Core page, and build the item page here. I think that satisfies all the agrees and disagrees here. --Tahno (talk) 09:24, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
