Delta Volanis Cluster is found in the Sirius Sector Block, so you'll need to zone into the Cluster and search for a Delta Volanis Anomaly. Once your near one, you'll be given two options: "Scan Anomalous Readings" (for an item) or "Explore Unknown System", which will take you into a solo instance comprising one of three mission types:
* Delta Volanis Cluster is found in the Sirius Sector Block

  +
* Zone into the cluster and search for a [[Delta Volanis Anomaly]]

* Investigate planet: warp down to a planet to scan for items. Might include ground combat.
** When you find an anomaly you will be given two options:

  +
* Investigate decommissioned base: get close to a space base, beam down, and fight off raiders.
*** "Scan Anomalous Reading" - which will result in gaining an item (such as an alien artifact).

  +
* Investigate anomalous readings: space mission where you gather data from anomalies.
*** "Explore Unknown System" - which will take you into a solo instance.

**** There will be a random mission to undertake while in instance.

**** Common Mission Types:

***** Investigate Planet - warp down to a planet to scan items on the planet. May or may not include ground combat.

***** Investigate Decommisioned Base - space mission where you must approach the base (found marked on your area map), beam down to base and fight raiders

***** Investigate Anomalous Readings - space missions where you must gather data from anomalies. Usually you must circle a planet and find the anomalies in the asteroid ring around the planet. They can be tricky to notice so keep your eyes peeled. May or may not include enemies.

** [[Delta Volanis Anomaly]] will disappear upon scan or enter. Anomalies respawn throughout area.

Mission Text

Much of the Delta Volanis Cluster is uncharted. We're diverting ships to explore that area of space, and I think the U.S.S. <ship> is right for the mission.

Since the situation with the war could change at any time, I want you to check in frequently. You never know when we could have an emergency that requires every ship we've got.

The Delta Volanis Cluster can be found off the Sirius Sector Block.

Objectives

Goal

  • Explore 3 systems in the Delta Volanis Cluster and report back with your findings.

Notes

Delta Volanis Cluster is found in the Sirius Sector Block, so you'll need to zone into the Cluster and search for a Delta Volanis Anomaly. Once your near one, you'll be given two options: "Scan Anomalous Readings" (for an item) or "Explore Unknown System", which will take you into a solo instance comprising one of three mission types:

  • Investigate planet: warp down to a planet to scan for items. Might include ground combat.
  • Investigate decommissioned base: get close to a space base, beam down, and fight off raiders.
  • Investigate anomalous readings: space mission where you gather data from anomalies.
