The Klingon Battle Cruiser is a cruiser-level vessel used by the Klingon Empire. Though slower and less maneuverable that the Raptor Escort, it has a stronger hull. The battle cruiser is a quintessential Klingon design, and is considered the primary warship of the Klingon Defense Force.

The name and appearance of the Battle Cruiser depends on its level, though its armament and abilities remain the same. There are seven variants: K'Tanco, K't'inga, K't'inga refit, Koro't'inga, Vor'cha, Tor'Kaht, and (in the 23rd Century only) D7-class. The player may occasionally encounter more than one variant in the same mission.

“End of Watch”: The I.K.S. Seg'pa transfers Franklin Drake to the player's ship. Both vessels are then attacked by the U.S.S. Musashi.

“Your New Command”: The player joins the Seg'pa in a counterattack against the U.S.S. Musashi, an unnamed K't'inga-class battle cruiser being among the KDF vessels that arrive to provide reinforcements.

K't'inga and K'Tanco Battle Cruisers patrol the Qo'noS System.

Klingon Battle Cruisers feature heavily in the Klingon Front and the Federation War.

“No Win Scenario”: In Combat Simulation 347, Vor'cha-class Battle Cruisers are among the Klingon ships attacking a Civilian Transport.

“Temporal Ambassador”: A D7-class Battle Cruiser is one of several vessels that briefly appear when the player attempts to scan a temporal anomaly in the Azure Nebula.

“Beta Thoridor System Patrol”: Vor'cha-class ships are among several waves of Klingon ships attacking Romulan Republic vessels in the Beta Thoridor System.

“Report to Gamma Orionis”: The I.K.S. Taral and I.K.S. T'Nek are part of a Klingon fleet assembled to counter the threat of the Borg.

“Turning Point”: The I.K.S. Kang assists Romulan Republic players in repelling a Tal Shiar incursion in the Khitomer System.

• “Saturday's Child”: The I.K.S. Kang attempts to destroy the Sky Demon before the player can.

Notes

• When KDF players use the Fleet Support ability, a Klingon Battle Cruiser has a chance to appear to aid them in battle.
• KDF fleets whose Fleet Starbases have been upgraded to tier IV will have Vor'cha-class Battle Cruisers added to the local ship traffic in addition to the Freighters.
