The Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor is a Lieutenant General (Tier 6) level scaling Raptor. This ship is available to Klingon Defense Force and Klingon-aligned players from the Cryptic store for 3,000 , or as part of the 3-pack Pilot Raptors bundle for 6,000 , or a 9-pack cross-faction bundle for 12,000 .
This starship can be used from any level, upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
Overview
Klingon Raptors have always been among the most maneuverable and powerful ships in the quadrant, but recent advances in technology have shown that even the most feared of ships can be improved upon. Therefore, a team at Ganalda Station has developed designs for new warships intended for captains who value speed as well as firepower. These small, nimble ships have the power needed to take on even the mighty Heralds, but the speed needed to escape danger in an instant.
Pilot vessels are highly agile craft designed to perform advanced maneuvers that can give them a deadly edge in combat. By double tapping your directional movement keys your starship will perform a maneuver in that direction.
The Qui'tu-class Pilot Raptor is engineering-oriented - it features more engineering console slots and higher-rank engineering bridge officer seats than other Klingon Pilot Raptors.
Alternative Variants
Class | Information |
---|---|
SKIN UNLOCK: Science Pilot Raptor, 3,000 A science-oriented variant, the Klavek-class lacks a certain amount of aggressiveness visible on the other two classes. The ship has a slightly shorter wingspan with wings angled downwards, and has a mission pod-shaped command center between the "head" and "neck" section. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Tactical Pilot Raptor, 3,000 Built in the wake of the Iconian War, the Kortar-class and its sister classes feature an aggressive, combat-ready look with large weapon pods mounted on their forward-swept wings. Large impulse manifolds give a sense of great speed and maneuverability. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Qui'Tu-class shares design characteristics of both sister classes, such as elongated design with long the "neck" seen on the Klavek, and large disruptor turrets and red exhausts across the sides of the "head" found on the Kortar. The front of the hull is "forked", separated into two sections by a deflector array. |

Abilities
Universal Consoles
The Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor comes equipped with the [Console - Universal – Subspace Eddy].
This ability is part of the Piloting Modifications Set, which also includes [Console - Universal - Microprojectile Barrage Launcher] and [Console - Universal - Spatial Sinkhole Generator] obtainable with Tactical Pilot Raptor (T6) and Science Pilot Raptor (T6), but also equippable on the Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor. For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.
- Microprojectile Barrage
- Spatial Sinkhole
Specialization Seating
The Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor features two specialist seats:
Cloak
The Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor has a cloak that allows the ship to cloak when not in combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Experimental Weapon
The Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
Pilot Maneuvers
Pilot ships can perform a sudden maneuver in each horizontal direction: Forward, Backward, Left or Right. Executing each maneuver will rapidly reposition your starship while granting very brief damage immunity, but costs all available thruster fuel which takes several seconds to recover.
Standard configuration
Klingon starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Scaling starship
This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.
Equipment slots and seating
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:
Level | Boff seats | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
0-9 | 3 | 2 | 0 | 3 | 1 | |
10-19 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 4 | 1 | |

30-39 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 5 | 2 | |
40+ | 5 | 4 | 2 |
Hull strength
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.05 for the Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.

T6-X upgrade
By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the Qui'tu Engineering Pilot Raptor may be upgraded to T6-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.
Notes
- The Qui'Tu-class is likely named after a location in Klingon lore that is analogous to Heaven in Human religions, which was mentioned in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
