Dewan Arthropods are scorpion-like creatures found in the Vastam Peaks on New Romulus and the desert of Nimbus III, where they are known as sand scorpions.

Details

The Dewan Arthropods have extremely powerful tails capable of smashing through the shells of most creatures after several bashings. Their pincers, curiously enough, are much stronger than their tail. We suspect that they used their pincers to hold down their prey and then used their tail to pulverize them.

Their shells are fairly hard due to the thousands of years of radiation on the planet. They prefer not to actively hunt larger animals and will instead use their pincers to ensnare smaller prey. They are primarily found in higher elevations.

Abilities

The number and type of different melee attacks they can perform depend on the maturity of the arthropod.

• Claw: Physical damage attack. The simplest ability, available to all arthropods.
• Stomp: Physical damage attack. Due to its size, the smallest arthropod unit cannot perform it.
• Tail Sweep: Physical damage attack. Due to its size, the smallest arthropod unit cannot perform it.
• Venomous Sting: Toxic damage attack. Exclusive to the Mature arthropod.
• Deadly Sting: Toxic damage attack. Exclusive to the Alpha arthropod.

• “New Romulus: Vastam Peaks”: Players fight off Dewan arthropods attacking lost colonists.
• “New Romulus: Overgrown Caves”: Dewan arthropods inhabit the caves near the Paehhos Crater.
• “Creatures of the Desert”: Help the Paradise City by reducing the worm and scorpion population.
• “Legendary Desert Beasts”: Defeat the Giant Scorpion.
• “The Lost City of Paradise”: Scorpions are encountered in the desert outside of the Paradise City.
• “The Undying”: Players must fight several Dewan arthropods in Hassan the Undying's arena on Nimbus III, including an abnormally enormous specimen.
• “Partisans”: The second challenge player has to face in the arena of Shangdu on Nimbus III.
