Device - Quantum Torpedo Platform is a rare consumable deployable ship device that is obtained through Duty Officer Assignments. Using this device deploys a level X+1 torpedo platform that will remain in a fixed position for 300 seconds and target nearby hostiles with quantum torpedoes.

X = the level of player
  • If the player is level 35 the Torpedo Platform will be 36.


Info If a player, level 50, tries to sell/trade Platforms, level 51, to a player, level 35, the 35 level player will see the item as level 36. The item auto - Scales the level.

This item can stack up to 20 pieces.

Device - Quantum Torpedo Platform can only be obtained from:

Faction Federation Assignment: Assemble from Prototype - Federation version which requires the Quantum Torpedo Platform Prototype Plans.
Faction Klingon Assignment: Purchase Prototype - Klingon version which does not require Prototype Plans, but the assignment costs 50,000 Energy credit icon to receive a stack of 10 pieces/charges at Success or 20 at Critical Success.
This item cannot be purchased from an npc vendor.
It can be traded, mailed, sold or bought from the Exchange system.

A small but useful fire support.


The device is equiped with a Quantum Torpedo launcher and will deal Kinetic Damage to the selected target on impact. The damage, like in the case of any other torpedo (kinetic damage), can be enhanced with

  • For a level 51 Torpedo platform compared to an enemy ship at the same rank or same turret, the damage is fair enough (each hit on target will deal 1000-1200 HP damage with a critical chance for 2200 HP), and despite the slower fire rate it can be great help when you need to destroy a powerful ship, even in Elite Mode gameplay.
  • The fire rate is related to the distance from the target. The pause listed in the table bellow is the time the torpedo had impact until a new launch from the platform.

Usage / Tips[ | ]

The Platform is only for Space combat .
After the related assignment is finished, this rewarded device will auto-equip on Device Slots on your ship and a new skill icon will appear on your ship's space skills interface.

If it's not there it means that all the slots are filled with other devices and will go into the normal inventory.
InfoThe device has no shields and at level 51 it has a Hull of 3721 HP (At level 65 it has a hull of 18.622 HP.)(All Heavy Turrets and Torpedo Platforms have the same amount of hitpoints.).
Once you have deployed (clicked on the icon) the Device - Quantum Torpedo Platform in space, the Platform will stay on location and start to hit enemies if they are within 10km range.

Remember The Device Quantum Torpedo Platform shares the same cooldown with any other Satellite Turrets or Torpedo Platforms.


If you have more than 1 Deployable Device types (satellites or platforms) or items in a stack, note that you can launch only 1, so you can't use a phaser satellite with an additional plasma or tetryon satellite or a Photon Torpedo Platform.
It does not share the same cooldown with Federation - Call 1 random ship to help in battle when HP is bellow 50%Klingon - Call 1 random ship to help in battle when HP is bellow 50% Ability: Fleet Support and both can be used in combination.


InfoThe cooldown to launch a new platform is 300 seconds (5 min.).
Even if the platform is destroyed in the first seconds, the timer will keep counting down till 0. If the device is not destroyed, it will vanish after 5 minutes. When the cooldown is over you can launch a new device.
