The user interface of the Dabo mini-game
Dabo is a mini-game introduced in Season Two: Ancient Enemies of Star Trek Online. To access the game, walk to Quark's at Deep Space Nine or Drozana Station and walk up to the Dabo table.
How to play
The Dabo wheel has a total of 27 slots, on which you can bet. Bets can be placed between 10 to 100 Energy Credits or Gold-Pressed Latinum. Payouts will always be rewarded as latinum.
Values
After the wheel is turned, the icons from the three wheels at an individual slot are compared by
Color (red, green, blue)
Shape (square, circle, triangle)
Count (one, two or three)
The payouts depend on the number of matches in these three categories.
Example
In this example, there is a match of two icons with regard to shape (the color-less triangle and the red triangles) and a match with regard to count (three triangles and three squares). This result is abbreviated: "Shape X 2 Count X 2"
As the inner wheel has no color, ideally, one can get a match of three icons with regard to count and shape and a match of two icons with regard to color. Such a combination (Shape X 3 Color X 2 Count X 3) is called a Dabo.
Special icons
There are additional icons, that may modify the result:
- The so called Swirl is a joker, that will count as any color, shape or count
- A Quark gives higher payouts
- DS9 icons work like Quarks, but have a lower multiplier
- A black hole will match with nothing
A combination of three DS9s and Quarks are special Dabos with increased payouts.
