Non-combat pet. The Beagle is a small to medium-sized dog. The breed is a hound and similar in appearance to the much larger foxhound. The Beagle is a scent hound, developed primarily for hunting hare. With a great sense of smell and their tracking instinct, the Beagle is employed as detection dog for prohibited agricultural imports and foodstuffs in quarantine around the world. The Beagle is intelligent but single-minded. A popular pet due to its size, good temper, and lack of inherited health problems.
Canine companions, or similar variants, are common in huge number of modern space-faring species. The dogs of Earth, in particular, have been breed into an astounding number of different breeds, addressing the personal preferences of a diverse population of pet owners. They are well-known for their loyalty and dedication to their owners.
Porthos was Captain Jonathan Archer's pet Beagle. One of four puppies in a litter, Porthos and his brothers were named after the main four musketeers from the Alexandre Dumas novel The Three Musketeers. Porthos lived with Archer on Earth in mid-2150. In the same year, Archer was selected to command the NX-class starship Enterprise (NX-01).

- Dusty - as a tan coat with a few patches of dark brown
- Buddy - is spotted black and white all over
- Lucky - is mostly white, with tan ears and a few spots of color on his flanks
- Snoop - is totally white, save for black ears and a single black spot on his back
- Porthos - has a white underside, golden-tan topside, and a darker patch on his shoulders. Similar to the pet of Captain Jonathan Archer

This pet comes packed up. You must Right Click and choose "Use this item" to unpack it. Once unpacked you cannot trade your pet.
You may own only one of these pets at a time so, if you already own one, you will not be able to unpack another one.
