Assault is a type of Player versus Player ground combat. Currently, there is one Assault map in the game called "Shanty Town" which is located in the Ba'aja System.
The Assault mode requires the player to complete the following mission:
- "Friend or Foe"
- Bypass Security Layers (0/52)
Kills are a minor component of this map. You can lose it in kills but still win the map by completing the mission first. Bypassing the security layers is slightly different for each faction:
- Starfleet: Take the virus from the SW corner of the map (interactive panel on wall) and deliver it to NE corner which is guarded by KDF turrets for 7 points.
- Klingon Defense Force: Take the virus from the NE corner of the map (interactive panel on wall) and deliver it to SW corner which is guarded by Starfleet turrets for 7 points.
Both factions can turn in the virus to panels located on ground level in the center of the map for 3 points.
