“Graduation Day”: Schaefer assigns the player the role of First Officer on the training cruise.- “Routine Maneuvers”: Schaefer orders the crew to respond to a distress call received from the S.S. Fortuna. When it proves to be a trap, he orders the crew of cadets to repel the Klingon boarders. Schaefer is captured, and later killed, by J'Ula in the battle.

“The Plausibility of the Possible”: The player beams aboard the U.S.S. Buran where Captain Lorca and Commander Landry express their condolences for the lost Captain Schaefer. Later in the Starfleet prison facility, J’Ula taunts the player about killing them just like she had killed Captain Schaefer.- “A Day Long Remembered”: With the end of the Klingon Civil War during the celebration event two weeks following the fall of J’mpok, J’Ula speaks with DSC Starfleet players. They resolve their longterm conflict which led them far into the future time period and J’Ula states that Captain Schaefer is an honorable man and would be proud of the officer the player has become.
