The Valiant Tactical Escort, or Valiant-class Tactical Escort, is a Tier 6 (Vice Admiral) Federation Escort. Players can purchase this ship from the C-Store for 3,000 Zen small icon.png, or as part of the cross-faction bundle for 6,000 Zen small icon.png.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The Tier 6 Valiant Class Tactical Escort is based upon the highly successful Defiant Class design. Unlike the Defiant, which was designed specifically to combat the Borg, the Valiant Class was built with the Federation's new enemies in mind.

This vessel comes with the Valiant-class costume, and it enables a discount for purchasing its fleet variant. It can utilize the Pilot bridge officer powers and other abilities described below.

Alternative Variants[edit | edit source]

Class Information
Federation Tactical Escort (Defiant).png
Defiant-class
Defiant class was the first of the Tactical Escort designs, with a prototype originally designed to fight the Borg. The project ultimately failed at Utopia Planetia because its initial engine designs tore the ship apart, though then Engineer Miles Edward O'Brien took the project under his wing and corrected most of its issues. The class design later entered production due to the Dominion threat.

Federation Tactical Escort (Gallant).png
Gallant-class
Launched in response to the fallout from the Khitomer Accords in 2399, the Gallant class was born. These ships were made to fight on the front lines of Borg conflict. Gallant is a variant of Defiant, just as capable and bares just as many teeth.

Federation Tactical Escort (Vigilant).png
Vigilant-class
The Vigilant was a design inspired by the Defiant class. It is just as powerful and nimble but is larger and features an updated nacelle design. The Vigilant is also equipped with a multipurpose space that is adaptable to any situation including relaxation or training.

Federation Tactical Escort (Sao Paulo).png
Sao Paulo-class
The Sao Paulo class is a 25th century refit of the famed Defiant class. It has exposed, forward-swept warp nacelles and a more faceted main deflector. It also has the white hull texture common to refit vessels.

The Sao Paulo class skin is unlocked with the purchase of the Tactical Escort Refit (Tier 4, C-Store, 1500 Zen small icon.png).

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Universal Consoles[edit | edit source]

The Valiant Class comes with the [Quantum Warhead Module] universal console, that can be used on all Tactical Escort variants. It can also equip the [Cloaking Device] console from the Tactical Escort Retrofit (Tier 5, C-Store, 2000 Zen small icon.png) or the Dreadnought Cruiser (Tier 5, C-Store, 2500 Zen small icon.png). These consoles, and the Phaser Quad Cannons, form the Stealth Fighter Set.

Experimental Weapon[edit source]

The Valiant Tactical Escort comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.

Specialization Seating[edit | edit source]

The Valiant-class Tactical Escort features one specialist bridge officer seat:

  • Lieutenant Commander Tactical-Pilot Lieutenant Commander Tactical-Pilot

Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]

Starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Scaling starship[edit source]

This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.

Equipment slots[edit source]

As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, and science console slots will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:

Level Console tac icon.png Console eng icon.png Console sci icon.png Fore weapons Aft weapons
0-9 2 1 1 2 2
10-19 2 2 2 3 2
20-29 3 2 2 3 3
30-39 3 3 3 4 3
40+ 4 3 3

Hull strength[edit source]

This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1 for the Valiant Tactical Escort), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.

Hull scaling table
Level Multiplier Hull HP Level Multiplier Hull HP Level Multiplier Hull HP Level Multiplier Hull HP
0 1 10000 20 2 20000 40 3 30000 60 4 40000
5 1.25 12500 25 2.25 22500 45 3.25 32500 65 4.5 45000
10 1.5 15000 30 2.5 25000 50 3.45 34500
15 1.75 17500 35 2.75 27500 55 3.725 37250

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Valiant-class is most likely named in honor of the U.S.S. Valiant, a Defiant-class starship destroyed in a battle against the Jem'Hadar in 2374.
