Hello there! We are conducting a survey to better understand the user experience in making a first edit. If you have ever made an edit on Gamepedia, please fill out the survey. Thank you!
...are for talk pages like this one. You don't need to, and shouldn't, sign your edits on regular articles.
Also, welcome to the wiki! Good editing to you. — Eyes 17:47, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
This article was changed into a redirect because the spelling is "Dielectric". Before changing an article back to what it was, please check the history (the link is one of the tabs above that article) and see why the previous editor changed it. — Eyes 05:48, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
Wiki editing...[edit source]
...just isn't quite as easy as it first seems. All of us were new to it at one point, and there's lot of little things to learn, like about redirects and templates. It's no big deal; part of how wikis work is that one editor starts a job, another comes along and does more and improves the past edits, and eventually, it gets finished. First edits don't have to be perfect, so please don't get upset about an edit getting reverted or changed.
It still pays to look at how similar situations are handled, though... look at Aegis Covariant Shield Array, for instance. It brings you to the Aegis Technological Research article and scrolls the page right to that item. That's because of the
#REDIRECT [[Aegis Technological Research#Aegis_Covariant_Shield_Array]]. Having the same information in more than one place makes it harder to keep everything current, so we try to keep it in on place and make it as easy as we can to get to that one place, and that's why these set items redirect instead. They don't need their own article.
Please don't let this get you discouraged. There's always work to be done on a wiki, and a wiki is always in need of motivated editors. — Eyes 06:25, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
No comment on deleting stuff?[edit source]
Hi there! I’d like to point your attention to the Talk:Mission: Infected (Federation)/Walkthrough page. It’d be nice if you had used the summary feature to let others know why the additional information was deleted and where or how you would like to see it included instead. --Hatch 15:07, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
For anyone who is angry about the STFs check the STFs talk page.
Mission: Facility 4028[edit source]
Good morning, you keep removing the note that there's not difference between non-lethal/lethal in the mission, although other players confirmed that to be case. If there is a difference, the removal is valid and a new note should be included. I'd like to know, what difference do you see in the outcome? (The issue becomes moot as soon as they accolades, that is. ^^) Regards, --Markonian 00:11, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- I saw your response. The sentence being removed discusses the outcome of the mission. It does not discuss gameplay during the mission. If it did, I wouldn't have written it in that manner. of course they just should have assigned accolades to it and I have to wonder why the avatar doesn't get a penalty for killing everybody since this is supposed to be Starfleet but who knows.
