The U.S.S. Enterprise-B was a retrofit Excelsior-class Cruiser launched in 2293 to replace the U.S.S. Enterprise-A, which had been decommissioned several months earlier.
History[ | ]
During her maiden voyage, the Enterprise diverted course in response to a distress call from two El-Aurian refugee transports caught in a temporal energy ribbon. The ship managed to rescue 47 survivors (out of 415), but narrowly avoided destruction herself. James T. Kirk, who had been visiting the Enterprise for her shakedown cruise, was lost during the mission and presumed killed.
Former Crew Members (Selection)[ | ]
- Captain John Harriman
- Ensign Demora Sulu
Notes[ | ]
- A plaque depicting the Enterprise-B can be seen inside starbases whose fleets have completed the special project "History and Movement". The Nexus Ribbon can be seen in the background, referencing the ship's sole appearance in Star Trek: Generations.
- Following the visual revamp of the Excelsior class ships, the Enterprise-B's name and registry became the default for all unnamed Excelsior refit vessels.
