Thot Wen, on Defera

Thot is currently the highest known rank found in the Breen military, and is roughly equivalent to an Admiral or Captain. They are similar to Ak'cheds in appearance, but are taller, bulkier and possess an orange or red visor. They also appear to have additional armor around the "snout" portion of their helmet, as well as their neck and shoulders.

The two most notable Thots in Star Trek history are Gor and Pran, who led the Breen Confederacy during the Dominion War. Gor was the initial Breen representitive who formed the Confederacy's alliance with the Dominion, but was later replaced by Pran for reasons unknown. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Missions involved

• Klingon Sector:
  • “Destiny”: Thot Mer boards the Klingon emperor's flagship, I.K.S. Batlh, in order to kill Emperor Kahless.
• Breen Front (aka Series 1: The Breen):
  • “Aid the Deferi”: Breen Captains attack the Deferi in the Kelvani Belt, ambush Deferi Outpost 3 and the Deferi Patrol.
  • “Cold Call”: Thot Wen commands the troops sent to Defera in order to capture Ambassador Surah and take possession of Preserver ruins.
  • “Out in the Cold”: Thot Trel reveals himself as leader of the Breen Confederacy faction invading Defera space. He sends his subordinate Thot Gran to prevent the player from freeing the Deferi slaves in the mine of Zaria.
  • “Cold Case”: The player and the Breen race to unearth the parts of the Preserver Star Chart, hidden throughout the Orellius Sector Block. Thot Par and his troops arrive on Raveh II when the player has assembled the complete chart and a battle ensues.
  • “Cold Storage”: The final confrontation of Defera's allies and invaders is on Lae'nas III and below its surface. Now, Thot Trel himself appears to take possession of the Preserver Archive, which is storing unexpected treasures. With his defeat, the Breen invasion ends, the Deferi are rescued and the Preservers emerge from their eons long hibernation.
• Q's Winter Wonderland:
  • “Fastest Game On Ice”: A brighter colored Race Official directs the player to the starting location of the Winter Wonderland's ice track to compete in the race. Furthermore, an orange-visored Thot is among the possible competitors.
• 2 Year Anniversary Event: Two Thots clad in purple armor flank Q in First City. These supposedly female Breen are dancing. They returned again in the 3rd anniversary event as well.
• Fleet Actions:
  • “Colony Invasion”: Thot Tol commands the Breen forces attacking the Colony. Additional Thots (labeled as 'Breen Captain') lead several squads during the assault as well.
