Temporal Agent Recruitment

Temporal Agent Recruitment Poster.png

Temporal Agent Recruitment was an in-game Global Event which took place from July 6 to August 24, 2016 on PC and from February 14 to April 3 2017 on Console. It included new benefits and rewards for new Star Trek Online characters, known as Temporal Agents, created during the event.

Features and benefits[edit | edit source]

The Temporal Agent Window
  • All accounts received an extra Character Slot.
  • Temporal Agents had a bonus trait, Temporal Agent, during the event which awards Dilithium for the player's entire team upon defeating enemies.
  • Temporal Agents were able to quickly fill the gap between themselves and high-level characters.
  • Temporal Agents were guided by Temporal Operations Command who aimed to find evidence of temporal interference by the Na'kuhl.
    • This was represented by the Temporal Agent Window, a new UI element in the mission tracker. This UI was (and still is to temporal agents) accessible by using the [Temporal Transponder].
  • Temporal Agents played a story which was parallel to that of their faction (25th century Starfleet), with unique goals. Tasked with uncovering temporal probes left by the Na'kuhl at various points in different missions, Temporal Agents would sometimes find additional mission steps, marked with a Temporal objective.png symbol, leading to something on the map which would help fight the war in the future.
    • Agents who reached Level 30 were tasked with joining a fleet and given a "Fleet jump-start" reward box which contained: 500 Fleet Marks, 5,000 Fleet-Only Dilithium and 100 of each Holding Commodity (Spire, Mine, Embassy, Research lab). The account wide equivalent is: 50 Fleet Marks and 5,000 Fleet-Only Dilithium.
  • During the first six weeks of the event, there were server-wide goals to which only Temporal Agents could contribute. Successful completion of these goals unlocked server-wide bonuses for the subsequent week.

Rewards[edit | edit source]

  • Temporal Agents earned free, high-quality equipment sets at Levels 10, 20, 30, and 40, as well as a "Reputation Jump-Start" package at Level 50.
  • Completion of Temporal Agent goals provided rewards for all characters on an account; account-wide rewards were claimed by visiting the Temporal agent at each faction's social hub (Philip Crey at Earth Spacedock, Commander Q'on in First City, or Subcommander Kail at the Romulan Flotilla).
  • Completion of half of the story arcs (not including Dyson sphere and on) awarded an account-wide starship trait: Critical Systems. Completing all of them (Klingon war-Borg advance) reward: Trait: Improved Critical Systems
  • Additional rewards were unlocked upon reaching Levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 on a Temporal Agent character, as well as upon reaching Levels 1 and 5 in any Research and Development school.
  • If playing all the missions (that have temporal probes) in order from first (diplomatic orders) to last (fluid dynamics) you will reach the half way point of finding all the temporal probes (and receive the reward) in the Mission: "Taris".

A Na'khul temporal operative will beam in (in space a Na'kuhl destroyer will warp in) and one of your officers will state "An enemy operative is responding to our tampering!". Or Two, one of your bridge officers will state "we've managed to salvage some of the probes components" and you will be given one or more random R&D components. Or three, one of your bridge officers will say "The probe contained gear for temporal agents!" and you will be given a random blue (rare) item.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Unlike the cross-faction Delta Recruitment event, only new TOS Federation characters could be Temporal Agents.
