Note that since the link itself is small by design, a custom tooltip is created when you hover the mouse pointer over the link, giving the reader a more complete description of where the link leads.

The following documentation is transcluded from Template:MAlpha/doc (edit):

Use this template to create inline links to a Memory Alpha topic.

Usage

{{ MAlpha | <pagename> | <display text>}}
where <pagename> is the title of the destination article on Memory Alpha, and the optional <display text> is the alternate text to display for the link. For example,
{{MAlpha|Codobach}}
would produce the link Codobach, while
{{MAlpha|Sacrifice of Angels (episode)|"Sacrifice of Angels"}}
would produce "Sacrifice of Angels".

This would normally be used in a sentence or list, i.e. "The character Codobach (Codobach) appears in the non-canon comic book The Corbomite Effect!". Note that since the link itself is small by design, a custom tooltip is created when you hover the mouse pointer over the link, giving the reader a more complete description of where the link leads.
