Template:Clrl makes the element drop below any objects floating to the left (icon, image, infobox, TOC, etc.) that precede it in the page.
Template was added for specific situations where icon/image thumbnail on the left can put following heading out of place. If there is infobox on the right, using {{clear}} would make a large gap between two sections or parts of text because it pushes text below the infobox. {{clrl}} is useful here because it ignores infobox and puts heading to correct position, without empty space between template position and next column of text.
