Task Force Hippocrates is a Starfleet task force designed to patrol and defend the border of Federation space from Gorn and Klingon attacks.

In 2409, the player is assigned to the Task Force with orders to patrol the Xarantine System and respond to any distress calls. During the player's assignment to Task Force Hipporates, it is discovered that the Gorn are involved in Augmentation experiments that are the reason for the increased attacks on medical facilities and ships carrying medical supplies.
