Space/Ground traits[edit source]

Would it be better to sort by space/ground traits, then alphabetically? MikeWard1701 01:15, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Trait Updates[edit source]

Sorry, I don't know where the table is or how to edit it (links to wiki knowledge would not be sneered at <hint>).

Efficient is now Efficient Captain and the boni are +10, not +5

Acute Senses has been reduced to +10 Perception (vice +20 Stealth Sight).

yeah it needs a few fixes, but I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.--Marhawkman 01:52, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I doublechecked all trait stats with season 4 release. Unless there are some new changes or something went fuzzy when Eyes started the semantic mediawiki conversion I'm intrigued to know what exactly is wrong Marhawkman. --Dukedom 05:50, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Nothing I did should have changed the stats. If anyone wants to double check, I put together a quick query here, but all I did with the descriptions is put them in a property. I didn't change any of them. Eyes User-Eyes-Sig.png 07:57, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Your query just lists the player traits, I assume that is intended? --Dukedom 09:18, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I haven't converted boff traits yet, so I can't query the description and wrote the query to exclude any traits it couldn't get the description for. Eyes User-Eyes-Sig.png 09:57, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I figured as much. That brings us back to 'what the hell is wrong with them'? then. --Dukedom 11:03, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I decided to double check the trait selections for player chars by using the game's character creator. Okay I just looked again and the only error I found is that Trill is listed as having Joined Symbiote as a required trait. --Marhawkman 18:08, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Design Decision[edit source]

I'm not exactly sure how to continue here. There are two options, either split up the federation captain table in two tables nine species each. Or make a super long table out of the BOff one too. What do you think is better to read? --Dukedom 09:00, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

It's mostly a problem that should be solved with sideways text, but the only reliable cross-browser way I see to do that is with images. Right now, I think that's what I would suggest to best preserve the usefulness of the table. All my other ideas would have a need to scroll or use buttons to see the rest of the table. Images are not really my thing. That would be something I'd need to 'outsource'. --Dukedom 21:36, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
I had another idea. This isn't exactly ideal, but here it is. It's not the prettiest thing, but at least we wouldn't need images made anytime we get a new species. Eyes User-Eyes-Sig.png 04:19, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Actually I kinda like it -- although if they could be top justified instead of bottom I think it'd read better. It's quite a nice solution where there are substantial downsides to current live format, splitting it up, and using images. --MatthewM 06:35, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Applied the suggested changes. --Dukedom 10:05, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Correction for Boff trait chart[edit source]

"Spiritual" is displayed as being required for Betazoid, when it should be Bajoran. Obviously a typo, just need to move it one column to the left. I don't know where the chart is, or I'd fix it myself. --Vexis58 07:28, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Fixed. Good catch. --Dukedom 07:58, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
