Is there a practical difference between DOFFexchange and DOFFtrader? They both seem to describe barter and sale, so I'm unsure why they've both come into being. Not to mention that "Exchange" is the name for the game's EC auction house, so that's a loaded term which gives the impression of being related. Why is the REDALERT [TTS] channel not allowed to be displayed on this page? The page was created as a global channel directory and the channel was created for Borg Invasion content discussion on the Tribble Test Server. The Borg Ground Invasion is being released on Tribble later this week and having both Holodeck and Tribble discussion on one REDALERT channel results in a lot of confused channel users. I don't edit or delete your channel info, I only update the numbers for all of the channels, so please explain your selves? ~ Alecto November 9th, 2011

Alecto, perhaps you're not reading the edit log. I've been the one removing your entry. I maintain the Global Chat Directory. There is no need/reason to list Red Alert TTS. It's redundant. There are no Red Alert Features currently being tested on Tribble or Red Shirt. I havn't allowed that other Red Alert channel to be posted in the the same reason. Redundancy. When I removed the edit I explained why and you've been the one adding it back without asking why it was removed. There's no reason for it to be listed. You can let people know via your forum post (which is still listed in the description) or in the main channel. Furthermore all Test toons are gonna be deleted anyway, so there's no point to doing Red Alerts on tribble unless they are testing something new with red alerts, and that doesn't require a new channel either. Hope you understand. Please do not re-add Red Alert TTS to the directory. -- BrooklynKnight 00:36, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
BrooklynKnight, thank you for your reply. I apologise for not asking why it was removed the first time around; I'm still learning how to use STOwiki and I didn't realise it was removed the first time and I thought that I had not successfully added it. Then I checked the History after it was removed the second time and read that you didn't want two REDALERT channels listed, so I added it to the channel description. Unfortunately my edit, which added further information about the channel was reversed by Dukedom who explained that the description should be kept simple, even though there are other channel descriptions that are a lot more complex. I'm extremely disappointed by your reasoning, simply because I believe it's very important that players know the difference between the REDALERT and the REDALERT [TTS] channel. The first being for Holodeck and the second being for Tribble. The Borg Ground Invasion will be patched to Tribble later this week and the REDALET [TTS] channel is for discussion of this content. If players discuss this new content on the REDALERT channel, Holodeck users will become confused. Both of these REDALERT channels are for discussion on ground and space Borg Invasion content, not just the space content. I can not justify the importance of the REDALERT [TTS] channel any further, thank you for your time. ~ Alecto November 10th, 2011
It is neither neccessary to mention that a channel is player created (they all are), nor do we need multiple external links to explain the purpose of a channel. Please elaborate which important information is not given in the current revision? --Dukedom 06:56, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

Who wants to make this page more pretty and add some more channels? Maybe a pidgin guide? BrooklynKnight 00:30, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Dumb question time

I don;t see any reference to this in the article but are these text chat or voice chat channels? --Drmike 00:40, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

They are all text chat. --MatthewM 15:29, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

UFC / UFC-TEAM channels

Why were channels UFC and UFC-TEAM removed?

They were NOT fleet channels. They were for ANY player to join as well as something small fleets could utilize as well.

If these channels were for a single fleet or just for an alliance, I could understand it ... but these channels have always been public as we've always wanted regular players to join and use them.

These channels were set up to help strength the PLAYER community. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by PATHFINDER (talk · contr)
