Taking the opportunity of Netflix to rewatch Star Trek The Next Generation in all of it's glory, I was struck by a couple of very easy solutions to the problem of the Borg. First, Wesley Crusher's Nanites would have been a perfect "weapon" to have used against the BORG. Next, so commonly forgotten for such things are the devices of today - a fission bomb transported into the BORG ship and detonated ... fission bombs keep going and going until there is nothing left rather than a single explosion like a fusion bomb. Finally, assuming that the Enterprise and the world of that day was forgotten all about atomic and nuclear devices, using the transporter, which they can clearly do, to transport anti-matter into several areas of the BORG ship at the same time would be more than enough to pretty much disintegrate the BORG ship in very short order. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk · contr)

Talk pages are meant more for discussing improvements to the wiki article itself. Discussing the Borg in general is something better done on a forum. - Mitchz95 (talk) 02:38, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Okay, OP, I'm gonna humor you.
1) Why do you keep putting "Borg" in all caps? It's not necessary.
2) Who says Wesley's weapon would work? Borg use advanced nanites themselves, so they could fight it.
3) Fission bombs don't use that, as that is how our nukes work, through nuclear fission. I don't even know how you can be certain what fusion bombs do as those don't exist yet.
4) They don't need nuclear weapons as photon torpedoes use antimatter. That is a lot more powerful that a mere nuclear weapon. And transporting raw antimatter? Yeah, it's not that simple.
5) Transporting a weapon on board? Fine, exept transporters can't penetrate shields and Borg have very strong and adaptive shields.
So there, five reasons why your ideas won't work. Now will you please leave? This isn't the place to do this. 22:30, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Please don't bite the newcomers. Just because they posted in the wrong place doesn't mean you need to be rude. - Mitchz95 (talk) 02:17, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
I didn't "bite" him or anything. I merely pointed out why his ideas don't work and then, hoping my answers satisfied him, asked him to take it somewhere else as this isn't the place. 11:07, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
