The Tal'aura-class Temporal Destroyer is a Tier 6 Destroyer which may be flown by Romulan Republic characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
Players can obtain this starship from the Lobi Crystal Consortium for 900 . The boxed ship is not bound and so may be traded to other players or bought and sold on the Exchange for energy credits under the name [Special Requisition Pack - Temporal Destroyer (T6)]. The choice box's contents depend on the player's faction; Romulan Republic players will receive the Tal'aura Temporal Destroyer when opening it.
This ship could also be purchased as an account-unlock from the Zen Store as a possible choice from the Mudd's Stealing Time Choice Pack as part of "Mudd's Market", available from May 19, 2020 onward. Like all items in the Market, the Bundle periodically goes on massive discounts (upwards of 60% during special promotional sales).
Overview[ | ]
Tholian asteroid bases in the Azure Nebula still churn with activity, capturing numerous vessels from different timelines and salvaging their stolen technology. Fleets aligned with the Federation, the Klingon Defense Force, and the Romulan Republic have each been working against these Tholian captors, rescuing any vessels that they can from Tholian webs.
Recently, a new series of ships have been rescued from the clutches of the Tholians – Science Vessels and Destroyers that appear to be Romulan ships from the 29th century. These ships have already been stripped of most of their advanced technology, but some remain functional. As more of these ships are reclaimed, the Ferengi Lobi Consortium has been repairing and refitting them for use in modern-day warfare – and then selling them for a modest fee.
One type of Romulan ship that has been discovered is the Tal'aura-class Temporal Destroyer, a successor to the previously recovered Talvath-class vessel. These Temporal Destroyers are not only from the future, but they also appear to be from the Mirror Universe. They are very similar to the Sui'Mor-class Temporal Science Vessels, however it is not surprising that these ships seem to be built more for combat than for temporal science experiments.
Like its Prime Universe counterpart, this type of vessel has caught the Romulan Republic’s interest. Unfortunately, these ships have shared a similar fate in that much of their 29th century technology is missing and likely in the hands of the Tholian Assembly. With its future origins, the Tal'aura class bears a noticeably different appearance to other Romulan ships, but is still recognizable as being of Romulan heritage.
Class variants
Class | Information |
---|---|
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The "head" of the Talvath class bears a similarity to the curved command sections of the Ha'apax and the Ha'nom, angling downwards and giving the appearance of a Bird-of-Prey's beak. The wings are less broad, but feature the classic Warbird feather pattern on top. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship An improved variant, the Tal'aura class has sharper hull lines, giving it a more aggressive look. Additional windows have been added to the hull section and her warp nacelles are larger. The Tal'aura's hull plating is reminiscent of 25th century Mirror Universe warbirds. |

Abilities[ | ]
Universal consoles[ | ]
The Tal'aura Temporal Destroyer comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Enhanced Manheim Device].
This ability is part of the Temporal Fragmentation System Set, which also includes [Console - Universal - Enhanced Tipler Cylinder] and [Console - Universal - Temporal Distortions] obtainable with Sui'Mor Temporal Science Vessel (T6) and Paradox Temporal Dreadnought (T6), but also equippable on the Tal'aura Temporal Destroyer. For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.
Specialization seating
The Tal'aura-class Temporal Destroyer features the following specialist seats:
- Commander Tactical/Temporal Operative
- Lieutenant Commander Tactical/Temporal Operative
Experimental Weapon[]
The Tal'aura-class Temporal Destroyer comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
Molecular Reconstruction
Temporal Starships are capable of making subtle alterations on the molecular level through the use of Molecular Reconstruction. This technology allows the starship to assume 1 of 3 different Configurations: Offensive, Defensive and Support.
- (+Max Engine Power, +Turn, +Flight Speed, -Incoming Hull Healing)
- (+Max Shield Power, +Incoming Hull Healing, -Turn, -Flight Speed)
- (+Max Auxiliary Power, +Exotic Damage, +Control Strength, -Energy Weapon Damage)
Each of the configurations generates its own specific counter, which is then used to fuel the Molecular Deconstruction Beam.
- (Scaling Physical DoT, Heals Hull, Disable)
Standard configuration[ | ]
Romulan starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.
Equipment slots and seating[]
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:
Hull strength[]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.1 for the Tal'aura-class Temporal Destroyer), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.

Notes[ | ]
- The Tal'aura Temporal Destroyer is named after Tal'aura, praetor of the Romulan Star Empire in the late 24th century.
- Unlike standard Romulan Republic Warbirds, Tal'aura class has no cloak and uses a standard Warp Core instead of a Singularity Warp Core, and is thus lacking abilities common to other Romulan vessels.
- Acquiring the Tal'aura Temporal Destroyer unlocks the Tal'aura and Talvath Ship Material for all Romulan Temporal Destroyer and Temporal Science Vessel variants.
- Aeon Timeship and Rozhenko Timeship ship materials cannot be used on Romulan Temporal Destroyer and Temporal Science Vessel variants.
- This vessel comes with the unique 29th Century Romulan bridge.
- This vessel comes with an A.R.W. registry name prefix option.
- On August 8, 2019, the Tal'aura was updated to a full Temporal Operative ship by adding the Molecular Reconstruction ability and the second specialist BOff seat (Commander Tactical/Temporal Operative).
