Starship Shield Performance is a Tier 4 Engineering skill available to all Starfleet and KDF Captains. Each increment of this skill costs 2,500 skillpoints.

This skill grants you a flat power increase to Shields, benefitting shield hit points, regeneration and a plethora of abilities which rely on Shield power for their effectiveness.
Engineering Captains who learn 6 ranks of this skill unlock the ability to train Bridge Officers in Extend Shields III.
