Starship Hull Repair is a Tier 1 Engineering skill available to all Starfleet and KDF Lieutenants. Each increment of this skill costs 1,000 skillpoints.

  • Base repair rates are dependent on the class type. For cruisers, the base repair rate is 72% out of combat and 12% in combat. For science, the base repair rate is 60% out of combat and 10% in combat. For escorts, the base repair rate is 50% out of combat and 8.333% in combat. The only exception are shuttles and Tier 1 ships, which use the same repair rates as science ships.
  • The combat repair rate is equivalent to the repair rate divided by 6.
  • All values are rounded to the nearest tenth of a percent.
  • Each bonus point increases the base hull repair rate by a percentage of the base repair rate (Base * (1 + (Bonus / 100)). So, having 1 rank in this skill will increase the base repair rate by a multiplier of 1.18, which gives a new rate of 84.96% (72% * 1.18) for cruisers, 70.8% (60% * 1.18) for science ships, and 59% (50% * 1.18) for escorts.
  • The Techie trait works in the same manner as this skill. Since it adds +30 to the current skill bonus, it increases the repair rate by a multiplier of 1.30. Combined with 9 ranks in this skill, the repair rate can be up to 164.9% for cruisers (72 * (1 + 0.99 + 0.30)), without any additional traits, consoles, or abilities.
