This skill improves ground science abilities that cause direct damage to your target or his targets shields. This skill does not improve weapon or hand-to-hand damage.

Tachyon Harmonic
Exothermic Induction Field
Sonic Pulse
Science captains who learn 3 ranks of this skill will unlock the ability to train Bridge Officers in Sonic Pulse III. Science captains who learn 6 ranks of this skill will unlock the ability to train Bridge Officers in Science Team III.
Scientist is available to Admiral Science Officers. Each rank costs 3,000 Skill points
