Learning all nine ranks unlocks the skill train to officers Suppressing Fire III.
Firearms is part of the Tactical skill tables and is only available to players with playing a Tactical profession. All Starfleet and KDF Commander Tactical officers may use this skill. Each increment of this skill costs 300 skillpoints.
