Skill: Defensive Maneuvering
This skill increases the chance that enemies' attacks will not hit you. Per point of Defensive Maneuvering skill, you gain +0.15 Defense Rating.
If an attacker's Accuracy Rating is greater than a target's Defense Rating, hit chance is 100%. If an attacker's Accuracy Rating is less than a target's Defense Rating, hit chance is calculated as:
100/(100+Defense Rating-Accuracy Rating))
Hit chance can never drop below 25%. Any hit chance in excess of 100% instead grants small bonuses to Critical Chance and Critical Severity.

Defensive Maneuvering is a Lieutenant Commander Tactical skill that is available to all Lieutenant Commanders. There are three total skills in this chain, each costing 1 Space Point to purchase.
