The Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer is a level-scaling Tier 6 Science Vessel/Destroyer. This ship is available to Federation and Federation-aligned players as a rare drop from the [Section 31 Lock Box]. It can also be found on the exchange.
This starship can be used from any level, upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

Overview[edit | edit source]
When it comes to top secret organizations, few things are as they appear, and the Intel Science Destroyer is a master of deceptive appearances – provided your sensors will even pick it up. While the ship has powerful sensors and masking abilities to avoid foes, there’s more than one way to remain hidden, and it can switch to bring powerful guns to bear when the situation calls for it.

Abilities[edit | edit source]
Universal Consoles[edit | edit source]
The Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Enhanced Tractor Drones].
Specialization Seating[edit | edit source]
The Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer features two bridge officer specialist seats:
Active Sensor Arrays
As an Intelligence starship, the Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer is capable of deploying an Intel sensor drone with the Gather Intelligence ability.
While the target is Vulnerable, one of three Expose Vulnerability abilities can be used. These powerful abilities find a critical weakness in the targeted foe and allow players to briefly exploit it.
Expose Vulnerability: Critical Systems
Expose Vulnerability: Defenses
Expose Vulnerability: Weapon Systems
Intelligence vessels also have a built-in passive ability which renders them undetectable at long range.
Dark Mode[edit | edit source]
The Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer has a special type of cloak that allows the ship to "power down" and essentially run dark while not in combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon powering up known as Dark Mode. Dark Mode is visually unique, but functionally the same as a regular Cloak.
Tactical Mode[edit | edit source]
A built-in Tactical Mode ability allows the Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer to switch between a default Science Mode and Tactical Mode.
Activating the Tactical Mode transforms the starship from a typical Science Vessel into a combat-oriented Destroyer. This disables most of the advanced science systems while activating additional tactical systems:

Tactical Mode may be deactivated at any time to return to the default Science Mode.
Experimental Weapon[edit | edit source]
The Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer comes equipped with an Experimental Weapon slot only usable while in Tactical Mode. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
The Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer comes equipped with the [Invasive Coilgun]. The Invasive Coilgun fires charged oscillating slugs, designed to penetrate deep into the target's hull. After the target has been hit enough times, the differing charges built up will collapse, shorting out the target's power systems for a short duration.
Sensor Analysis[edit source]
Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.
Subsystem Targeting[edit source]
The Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer comes with built-in Subsystem Targeting abilities. These built-in abilities stay at Rank I and do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships. They are separate from Subsystem Targeting abilities gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
Target Weapons Subsystems I
Target Engines Subsystems I
Target Shields Subsystems I
Activating a subsystem targeting ability will upgrade all energy weapons to inflict a stacking power drain on the foe's targeted subsystem for the next 10 seconds. They will also have a small chance to knock the targeted subsystem offline for a short duration.
Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Scaling starship[edit source]
This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.
Equipment slots[edit source]
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, and science console slots will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:

Hull strength[edit source]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1 for the Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
