Right at the beginning of the article give a one- or two-sentence abstract what this mission is about. E.g.: "In '''Mission Title''' the player liberates a Federation Outpost from a Klingon siege."

== Synopsis ==
Describe the story of the mission in your own words. Write from a third-person perspective about what the player encounters. Do not address the player directly using second-person pronouns. The Synopsis should be more elaborate than the abstract and cover all steps of the mission. Do not limit the synopsis to objectives, instead concentrate on giving background and story information. It is also permissive to describe the mood and setting of the mission.

{{missiontext|
Enter the in-game mission text here, formatted with regular wiki formatting.

If the player's starship name is referenced, use '''<shipname>'''. For the player's name, use '''<name>'''. For the player's rank, use '''<rank>'''.

They will be shown in non-bold, gray text.

Wiki links may be used as well, such as [[starship]] and [[United Federation of Planets|Federation]]. Make sure this text is on the next line after the beginning pipe symbol ("|"), and the ending "}}" part is on a new line also.

Comments[edit source]

Missioninfo template[edit source]

Use the {{Missioninfo}} template to create the info box. See the template page for detailed instructions. Example usage:

{{missioninfo
| name = Mission Title
| faction = Starfleet/Klingon/Romulan Republic/Cross-faction
| giver = Name of Mission Giver (excluding rank)
| level = Level
| repeatable = Yes/No/Daily
| followed = Name of Following Mission
| preceded = Name of Preceding Mission
| episode = Name of Episode This Mission is Part of
| sp = # Skillpoints Given
| bosp = # BOff SP Given
| fm = # Fleet Marks
| rm = # Romulan Marks
| om = # Omega Marks
| nm = # Nukara Marks
| dm = # Dyson Marks
| plus =
* {{item|Name of First Item Player Chooses as Reward|Mk Level|rarity}}
* {{item|Name of Second Item Player Chooses as Reward|Mk Level|rarity}}
<!-- etc. -->
}}
name
The name of the mission, exactly as spelled in the game. This includes capitalization as well. If several types of capitalization are utilized in-game, have all versions redirect to one page, which shall be how the mission title is spelled in the Mission Log.
faction
Either Starfleet, Klingon, Romulan Republic or Cross-faction, depending on which faction offers this mission.
giver
The name of the NPC who gives the player this mission. Rank mustn't be included (e.g. "Quinn"). Since NPC article titles must not include ranks. Eg: Missions given by "Admiral Quinn" must link to Quinn, which has information on the NPC himself.
level
The level of the mission itself. For example: Cmdr 4 (24) — this indicates the mission is for the rank of Commander, level 4 (or 24 in a purely numerical scale).
repeatable
Either Yes, No, or Daily. If "Daily", it cannot include links or cooldown durations.
followed
The mission that follows this mission, which will be automatically linked to via the mission template (which generates the link).
preceded
The mission that precedes (comes before) this mission, same as above.
episode
The name of the overall Episode that includes this mission. This will be added as a category for the mission page (e.g. "Category:Tour of Duty" for the "Tour of Duty" Episode).
sp
The number of skillpoints awarded to the player upon completion (and hand-in) of mission, if applicable.
bosp
The number of bridge officer skillpoints awarded upon completion of mission, if applicable.
fm
The number of Fleet Marks awarded upon completion, if applicable.
rm
The number of Romulan Marks awarded upon completion, if applicable.
om
The number of Omega Marks awarded upon completion, if applicable.
nm
The number of Nukara Marks awarded upon completion, if applicable.
dm
The number of Dyson Marks awarded upon completion, if applicable.
plus
A bulleted list of any items offered to the player, who must choose only one. The beginning of the bulleted list (i.e. the first asterisk "*") must be on a new line after the equals sign ("=").

Additional options can be found on the template page.

Abstract[edit source]

In the beginning of the article put one or two lines that describe, what the mission is all about (plotwise). A more elaborate synopsis follows.

Synopsis[edit source]

This should be written like an synopsis for an episode guide. This paragraph should be covering the whole mission and not only focus on objectives and gameplay, but primarily the story that is told. When you need to refer to the story protagonist, call him or her "the player" and try to use a gender neutral sentence structure.

Outline =[edit source]

The outline is the place for the point-of-view looking at the objectives of the mission. It's a concentrated summary of what your mission journal and objectives window is displaying.

Mission text[edit source]

Using the missiontext template as above, copy the exact wording of the introductory text explaining the mission, at which point the player is to accept or decline the mission.

Goal[edit source]

Using the missiongoal template as above, copy the exact wording of the mission's goal, which is displayed in green within the game (as well as in the mission article itself).

Objectives[edit source]

This is a bulleted list of the objectives for this mission, copied verbatim from within the game's mission log.

NPCs[edit source]

This covers all selectable NPCs in the game world (including turrets and other inanimate objects) as well as off-the-map NPC contacts (like a calling Captain in a space mission). Group the NPCs based on the in-game info window.

NPC starships[edit source]

The same as NPCs, but this time not individuals and ground forces, but starships.

Accolades[edit source]

List all accolades specific to the mission. Kill and damage accolades are not specific. If no accolades can be obtained, use the noAccolades template

Walkthrough[edit source]

The walkthru template will automatically determine if there is an existing Walkthrough sub-page (e.g. Mission: Name of Mission/Walkthrough), and add a link to it, giving the player a chance to view mission information without being immediately spoiled by the ending of the mission and how to complete it.

Notes[edit source]

Any additional notes relating to the mission at hand would go here, in bulleted list form. Information about permanent changes to the game play, for instance, would go here.
