Romulan Liberated Borg Bridge Officer Candidate
The Romulan Liberated Borg Bridge Officer Candidate (named Borg Bridge Officer in the pack description) is a unique engineering bridge officer candidate that has only been made available as part of special promotions. Due to the specific method required to obtain her, she is one of the rarest in the Star Trek Online; see Acquisition and claiming below.
By default, the appearance of the liberated Borg bridge officer candidate is a Romulan civilian outfit, but this can be customized at the tailor as with standard bridge officers. This allows players to change body and facial characteristics, and use any uniforms available to them.
The liberated Borg bridge officer candidate has special traits that are not available in standard bridge officers, though they share those traits available to Liberated Borg characters. She is also one of very few bridge officer candidates to have the Efficient trait.
Acquisition and claiming[ | ]
There have been two ways to obtain this bridge officer to date, both of which have been once-per-account and are no longer available:
- The first was via the 2018 Star Trek Online - Humble Trekkie Pack offered by Humble Bundle. One purchased it can be claimed from the Promotions tab of the Zen Store as "Humble Bundle Promotion 2018".
- The second was via the 2020 Borg Pack, which was available in the Promotions tab of the Zen Store from April 2nd to 9th of that year.
The promotional package comes as a Special Requisition Pack - Liberated Borg Engineering Officer item which looks as if it contains a single Borg Bridge Officer, but when opened by a Romulan Republic character (of either alignment), you will receive both this officer as well as another—Federation Liberated Borg Bridge Officer if Federation-aligned, Klingon Liberated Borg Bridge Officer if Klingon-aligned—which are the same as those already obtainable from the Zen Store and other sources. This officer is functionally identical to the aforementioned Federation/Klingon Liberated Borg Bridge Officers, but may be commissioned alongside them.
Claiming the promotional package on a non-Romulan character will cause the box to only give you the aforementioned Federation/Klingon Liberated Borg Bridge Officers depending on that character's faction, which will lock your account out of obtaining this Romulan Liberated Borg Bridge Officer from that promotion. As those bridge officers can be obtained by other methods, but this one cannot, it is strongly recommended to only open the promotional package on a Romulan Republic character, and one that you truly want to have the officer on! As with the Federation and Klingon variants, she cannot be obtained on the same character twice.

- This should not be confused with the Borg Science Bridge Officer Candidate, which is obtained by obtaining the accolade "Assimilated" while playing the ground mission “Khitomer Accord”.
- This officer is functionally the same as the Federation equivalent.
- As this officer has only been made available twice, and both instances were once-per-account, any given STO account can only have two of her at most to date.
