The Rapid Fire Polaron Full Auto Rifle is a special type of Ground Weapon.
Polaron ground weapons have a chance to cause the target's weapons to malfunction for a brief time. This particular weapon functions the same as a Polaron Full Auto Rifle for its primary and secondary fire modes, but has Melee Strike as its melee attack, normally only found on Assault Miniguns and Blast Assaults, rather than the Rifle Butt typically found on Full Auto Rifles. It has two integrated modifiers, accounting for its rare quality:
- The recharge time on its secondary fire mode has been reduced from 8 seconds to 5.5
- An integrated [DoT3] AoE radiation damage modifier
As a result of having Melee Strike instead of Rifle Butt, all three of its attacks can effect the AoE radiation damage.
Obtaining[edit | edit source]
Since this item is not unique, players can obtain it more than once via episode replay. Replaying this mission at higher levels will grant a level-appropriate Mark version of this weapon, up to and including Mk XI.
An earlier iteration of this item, named [Polaron Full Auto Rifle Mk VII [Rch]] and lacking the radiation damage mod, was previously a reward from the now-removed Federation mission “Forging Bonds”, and the KDF mission “The Gates of Gre'thor”. If players still have this old version, placing it in the item upgrade window will automatically convert it to its current form, which will add the radiation damage mod for free.
All values given are for common weapons. There is greater damage with increasing rarity.

Rapid Fire Polaron Full Auto Rifles do not come with modifiers suffixes; the reduced recharge time and radiation damage are its two built-in modifiers. The Rapid Fire Polaron Full Auto Rifle can be upgraded using Ground Gear Tech Upgrades. It will receive an additional modifier on successful quality improvement:
