Q is a member of the immortal, omnipotent race called the Q. He is the son of Q and Q, conceived after the Q Civil War (with Janeway as his godmother) and Q, unlike most Q, takes after Q's active interest in mortal affairs; notably by forcing them to celebrate his birthday. Q is also notable for being handsome.
