A Prylar is the title for a Bajoran monk, lower in rank than a Vedek. Prylers often serve as the keepers of shrines, including the one found on Deep Space 9.

- “Second Wave”: Among the residents of DS9 which the player may speak to in seach of Bajoran Distilled Kanar is one of the Prylars standing watch outside the Bajoran Temple, who informs the player of how members of the religious D'jarra were forced to distill Kanar for the Cardassian forces during the Occupation.
- * If the Prylar does not have Bajoran Distilled Kanar, they speak of praying for anyone who would want such a thing.
- * If the Prylar does have Bajoran Distilled Kanar, they offer a bottle from the shrine's history exhibit on the Occupation with the observation that something with such a history can still be a tool for good deeds.
