Overview[ | ]
The Phantom Intel Escort was designed for stealth, speed and delivering withering volleys of weapons fire upon its intended target. The Phantom is equipped with a Cloaking Device and Active Sensor Arrays. The former allows the starship to cloak while not in combat, and the latter allows intel craft to gather information about their target to expose a vulnerability in their defenses.
Able to conduct surprise ambushes and hit-and-run attacks upon enemy formations, the Phantom-class Escort's profile is designed to maximize its ability to stay hidden while it approaches hostile ships under cloak. To this end, the ship's hull consists of a small, flattened saucer hull with two compact, low-profile warp nacelles. Its rounded silhouette is similar to that of the Tactical Escort, though without a distinctive deflector "head" portion, more reminiscent of the Gallant-class tactical escort variant.
The Phantom's main deflector dish is almost hidden, within a recessed niche along the dorsal surface of the main hull. The slightly raised bridge area is flanked by two armored secondary hull compartments which extend out slightly past the trailing edge of the saucer, then link up in a spoiler-like "tail" configuration, similar to the aft sections of the Blockade Runner Escort and Norway-class Heavy Escort.
The ship's basic hull material is black, with no visible windows, rendering the Phantom difficult to see against the background of space, if not for thin, blue running light strips. Translucent panels along the front edges the saucer shield instruments that coordinate data from the Phantom's active sensor probe once launched.
The Phantom's warp nacelles are interchangeable with those of the Eclipse Intel Cruiser and Scryer Intel Science Vessel, and alternative customization options remove the rear tail section.

Abilities[ | ]
Universal consoles[ | ]
The Phantom Intel Escort comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Heavy Phaser Lance].
Active Sensor Arrays
As an Intelligence starship, the Phantom Intel Escort is capable of deploying an Intel sensor drone with the Gather Intelligence ability.
While the target is Vulnerable, one of three Expose Vulnerability abilities can be used. These powerful abilities find a critical weakness in the targeted foe and allow players to briefly exploit it.
- Expose Vulnerability: Critical Systems
- Expose Vulnerability: Defenses
- Expose Vulnerability: Weapon Systems
Intelligence vessels also have a built-in passive ability which renders them undetectable at long range.
Cloak
The Phantom-class Intel Escort has a cloak that allows the ship to cloak when not in combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Experimental Weapon[]
The Phantom-class Intel Escort comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
Specialization seating
The Phantom-class Intel Escort features the following specialist seats:
- Commander Tactical/Intelligence
- Lieutenant Science/Intelligence
Standard configuration[ | ]
Starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Hull strength[]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (0.95 for the Phantom-class Intel Escort), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
