The Personal Mobility Shield is a Personal Shield reward from the duty officer assignment “Reverse Engineer Alien Personal Shield Technology”. It is not unique and may be obtained multiple times and equipped on you and as many of your Bridge Officers as you choose.

When obtained, it scales to the player's rank, up to Mk XI. Even on a critical success, only a Rare version of this shield is rewarded. This shield always comes with [Cap] and [Reg] modifiers, and its innate root and knockback resistance means it has stats identical to what would be a [Personal Shield Mk * [Cap] [Mob] [Reg]] of the same Mark level.

The Mk and quality may be improved by upgrading it. Its default [Cap] and [Reg] modifiers may be re-engineered as well to any of the standard Personal Shield modifiers, though it will always retain its innate [Mob] stats, giving it a one-modifier advantage over standard Personal Shields.

Update history

  • After the Delta Rising Crafting Revamp, attempts to upgrade this item resulted in a loss of it's [Mob] ability, fully reverting it into a [Personal Shield Mk * [Cap] [Reg]].
  • After the introduction of re-engineering, attempts to upgrade this item resulted in it instead losing its [Cap] and [Reg] modifiers, but not its innate [Mod] modifier, and receiving [CrtH] [CrtD]x2 modifiers that did not actually function. This and the previous issue were fixed in the November 8th, 2018 patch.
