This article is about the Mini-game, for the similarly-named mission, see “Omega Molecule Stabilization”.

Omega Stabilization is a Mini-game introduced with the mission “Omega Molecule Stabilization”. The game is started when the player attempts to stabilize an Omega molecule. It rewards the player with a Common Omega particle trace on completion. Additional traces and Uncommon, Rare and Very Rare Omega R&D components are awarded for achieving higher scores.

Objective

The interface shows a stream of Omega particles, moving from left to right, which the player must collect by moving the bracket (marked with an arrow) up and down. As particles are collected, the molecule shown on the right is stabilized. Each molecule stabilized increases the value of the particles allowing higher scores as more molecules are stabilized. It takes 20 particles to stabilize each molecule.

Scoring

The number of points per fragment depends on the number of molecules stabilised so far.

Molecules stabilised Points per fragment
0 5
1 10
2 15
3 20
4 50
5 100

Rewards based on final score. Scores at the higher end of the range have a small chance of dropping an [Omega Shard] or an [Omega Fragment] in addition to the below. Prior to the 10 Year Anniversary Event, these values were different; hover over the entries in the table to see what they were previously.

Score range Rewards
2700 - 2200 3 x Omega traces +
1 x [Omega Sliver]
2100 - 1800 2 x Omega traces +
1 x [Omega Sliver]
1750 - 1400 1 x Omega trace +
1 x [Omega Sliver]
1350 - 1000 3 x Omega traces
980 - 700 2 x Omega traces
680 - 0 1 x Omega trace

Locations

During the annual Anniversary Event Q scatters Omega molecules around the galaxy for the player to stabilize, each colored trace appearing in different locations. See individual articles for locations.

Crafting

Omega Traces gained from the event can be crafted into Omega Tech Upgrades. One of each trace are used to create an Omega Sliver, three Omega Slivers are used to create an Omega Shard, and three Omega Shards are used to create an Omega Fragment. Omega Fragments are then used to create an Omega Upgrade - three are required for the standard Omega Particle Tech Upgrade and two, along with some Refined dilithium icon Refined Dilithium are required for the [Mark] and [Quality] upgrades.

The total trace cost for the standard upgrade is 27 of each trace - for 81 total. The total trace cost of the [Mark] and [Quality] upgrades is 18 of each trace - for 54 total.
