2386 to 2392 Term[edit | edit source]
- 2388; in the wake of reports that the Vulcan Science Academy had known of the threat to Romulus from the Hobus Supernova and failed to act, President Bacco calls for Federation member worlds to remain calm and not take hasty action against Vulcan or anyone else involved. In her words, "In this time of strife we need to remain united. Assigning blame does not heal the injured, soothe the stricken or comfort the grieving."
- 2389; President Bacco, along with Ambassador Jean-Luc Picard, spends much of the year acting to promote Federation-Vulcan relations.
- 2391; A meeting between the Federation Transport Union and President Bacco regarding attacks on Union transport ships by Nausicaan pirates results in Starfleet vessels being pulled back from the Klingon-Romulan border and reassigned to escort duties.
- 2392; With the crisis caused by the 2387 destruction of Romulus considered over, Bacco declines to run for another term of office. In her words, "I've been here too long. We need new blood and new ideas." After the election is concluded, Aennik Okeg of Sauria succeeds Bacco as President of the United Federation of Planets.
