Once you have scanned a reading that initiated combat, you will need to engage and defeat six groups of Federation ships. At level 6, enemies are level 8. Frigates come in groups of two/three; cruisers, escorts, science vessels, and battleships travel solo. Fighters and shuttles come in groups of about six.
