Federation Version

  • What is the situation

Battle Group Omega of the Fourth Fleet is here for one purpose -- to defeat the Borg.

We have pinpointed this region as the heart of their incursion of the Alpha Quadrant, and our mission is to stop them here before they can reach the heart of the Federation.

No one wants a repeat of the attack on Vega Colony.

  • How can I help?

We need every available ship and crew fighting the Borg.

There are missions that you can undertake to help us in our fight. Some of these are repeatable, and each day that you do them you will be rewarded.

You can also explore the B'Tran Cluster. There are many star systems in that area that are practically unknown to the Federation.

If we have more data about that area, we will be able to more efficiently plan our defense against the Collective.

  • Why is the battle group in this location?

Our presence here is both protection for, and a threat to, populated star systems.

Should the Borg attack the Victory and the other ships of Battle Group Omega, Starfleet does not want innocents to be caught in the crossfire. So, we have found a location in deep space more amenable to our needs.

The asteroid belt gives us raw material for our replicators, and low-level Delta radiation from the rogue moon hides our energy signatures from the Borg.

The Borg may adapt, but for now this is an optimal place.

  • The Klingon fleet is a little close to us, isn't it?

I find their proximity ... troubling.

This is not a joint operation, Admiral. We remain at a state of war with the Klingon Empire.

However, there have been signs that our governments can cooperate in the face of a greater threat such as the Borg. As a sign of good faith, we are permitting the Klingon fleet to use this location.

The Klingon fleet is a little close to us, isn't it?: I, for one, will remain wary of the Klingons. I recommend that you do so as well.

  • What if I need something from home?

The ships of Battle Group Omega can service many of your immediate needs.

The U.S.S. Carnegie will be able to access material you have in storage.

The U.S.S. Chapar is in charge of communications. Any messages you want to send or receive can be routed through their array.

If you wish to trade with other Starfleet officers, contact the crew of the U.S.S. Barrett for assistance.

If you help Lt. Karbo chart the B'Tran Cluster, you will collect Marks of Exploration.

Contact the U.S.S. Montgomery Scott to exchange these marks for additional equipment.

If you have Marks of Valor from Special Task Forces, you may contact the U.S.S. Tomlinson to exchange them for specialized technology.

  • I'm ready for duty.

That is good. There is much to be done. Once you've settled in, contact me, Lieutenant Karbo, or Captain D'Vak for further instructions. We can be reached remotely or by hailing the Victory directly.

Klingon version

  • What is the situation

We are here to do battle with the Borg!

This area is the key to their invasion of the Alpha Quadrant. If we can defeat them here, we can stop them before they reach the Empire.

The quadrant has been bloodied by the Borg too many times. I will die before I let on drone set foot on Qo'noS

  • What do you need me to do

We need every available ship and crew fighting the Borg.

There are missions that you can undertake to help us in our fight. Some of these are repeatable, and each day that you do them you will earn the rewards that are the right of a mighty warrior.

The more we know, the better we will be able to plan for battle against the Borg.

  • Why is the battle group in this location?

Intelligence that we've gathered indicates that this area is ideal for our fleet.

The asteroid belt gives us raw material for our replicators, and low-level Delta radiation from the rogue moon hides our energy signatures from the Borg.

Also, this gives us a chance to keep an eye on Starfleet.

They say that they're here to fight the Borg, but if that battle group moves two kellicams in the direction of Empire space we will blow them out of the stars.

  • So, we are working with Starfleet to fight the Borg?

No. We have a common foe, but we are not allies.

Starfleet cannot be trusted to deal with a threat to the entire Alpha Quadrant alone. It is the Klingon Empire that will put a stop to the Borg once and for all!

  • What if I need something from home?

The ships of the fleet can service many of your immediate needs.

The I.K.S. ChuQun will be able to access material you have in storage.

The I.K.S. Ramjep is in charge of communications. Any messages you want to send or receive can be routed through their subspace array.

If you wish to trade with other Klingon Empire officers on the Exchange, contact the crew of the I.K.S. Wek for assistance.

  • I am ready for duty

That is good. There is much to be done.

When you are ready for a new mission, contact me or Commander Vizimar for further instructions.

We can be reached remotely or by hailing the Chang directly.

Fight well, <rank>. Qapla'!
