Briefing[edit | edit source]

After warping into the system, the team will have fifty seconds to read the briefing:

<rank>, long-range sensors have detected a large hostile battle group approaching the system at high warp.

We believe that the enemy has broken its fleet into smaller waves so that it will not have to commit unnecessary ships to an assault against the starbase.

It's possible that a small group of defenders, working in concert with the starbase, can defeat this fleet. Stay alert and defeat the ships quickly to avoid being overwhelmed.

We have a limited amount of time to succeed, sir. If we take too long, the bulk of their forces will arrive and we will not be able to survive.

Defend the starbase!

Defeat attacking groups[edit | edit source]

Once the fifty seconds are up, a brief cutscene depicting the first enemy ships warping into the system will play. This cutscene can be skipped if desired.

There are four waves, each consisting of two large groups of ships. The team will have ten minutes to destroy them all. Each wave is larger than the last, so defeating each one quickly is key - ideally, the first wave should be defeated within one minute, the second within two and a half, and the third within three and a half.

Defeat Siege Group[edit | edit source]

Once all four waves are defeated, a final "Siege Group" will warp in. It is comparable to the first wave in size, but is lead by a dreadnought and so is much more difficult. The team has three minutes to defeat them all.

Once the Siege Group is destroyed, one of your bridge officers will congratulate you:

Federation

Tactical Officer:

No additional contacts on sensors, sir -- it looks like the rest of the fleet is retreating.

Starbase repair teams are already reporting to damaged areas, and they are reporting only minor casualties.

Good job!

Qapla'!

If you run out of time:

Federation

Tactical Officer:

We're being overrun! If we don't retreat now, we'll be cut off!

The enemy controls the deck!

The enemy are too strong!
