Overview[ | ]
The T'varo-class Light Warbirds have been in service of the Romulan Star Empire since at least mid-22nd century when two vessels of this class were encountered by the NX-01 Enterprise.
Fast, light, and maneuverable, the T'varo class has been upgraded over time and remains in use by both the Romulan Star Empire and the newly-formed Romulan Republic.
The new Malem-class Light Warbird is heavily based on the T'varo-class Retrofit's original designs, but has been greatly improved upon to better combat the Republic's current enemies.

SKIN UNLOCK: Free The T'varo class is based on a design used during the 22nd century. They are similar in design to the T'liss, but with sharper edges and a more dagger-like appearance. T'varo follows standard avian-like design lineage of other Romulan vessels.
SKIN UNLOCK: T'liss Temporal Warbird, 1 The T'liss class dates back to the 23rd century, where one served as the flagship of the Romulan Star Empire. They are relatively simplistic in design, and feature a unique paint scheme depicting a bird-of-prey on the underside.
SKIN UNLOCK: Legendary T'liss Light Intel Warbird, 12,000 The T'Liss Refit as it appeared in the Star Trek: Picard episode "Absolute Candor". This is a slightly modified look for the ship, with some more modern materials to reflect how it had been updated by its captain, Kar Kantar, since the ship's prime.
SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship The Malem class is a new Light Warbird variant built by the Romulan Republic in 2410. Universal consoles[ | ]
The Malem Light Warbird comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Plasma Warhead Module].
This ability is part of the Enhanced Projectile Efficiency Set, which also includes [Console - Universal - Singularity Stabilizer] and [Console - Universal - Plasma Destabilizer] obtainable with T'varo-class Light Warbird (T1) and T'varo-class Light Warbird Retrofit (T5), but also equippable on the Malem Light Warbird. For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.
Specialization seating
The Malem-class Light Warbird features the following specialist seats:
- Lieutenant Commander Universal/Pilot
Romulan Enhanced Battle Cloak
The Malem-class Light Warbird has an enhanced battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking. The enhanced cloak also allows the use of mines, torpedoes, and most Bridge Officer and Captain abilities while remaining cloaked.
Experimental Weapon[]
The Malem-class Light Warbird comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
Singularity[]
As a Romulan Warbird, the Malem-class Light Warbird comes with built-in Singularity abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Warbirds. These powers build in severity based on the charge built up by the ship's Singularity Core.
Standard configuration[ | ]
Romulan starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
